Bit strange that Sam didn't play the 80



How did Ainscough do, 3 tries makes it seem his attack was good but what about defence?

Who were the stand out performers?

Shaun did nothing wrong defensively today. It was mainly a team effort. Intermittent driving rain and a strong wind made it difficult conditions. We played down hill with the wind in the first half but KR had their share of the game and put the defence under pressure on a number of occasions. Nobody let the side down but until Sam came on we didn't take the game by the scruff of the neck. 15 minutes into second half it was 26 - 0 and game over. He made a try with a neat kick over the defence which Pryce gathered and neatly off loaded to Shaun to scoot in. Sam was the big difference in the second half. Pryce played stand off first half and he isn't able to organise the side. He scored a solo try and made a couple in the second half with neat off loads. I thought Ben Davies was the pick of a hard working pack. Was impressed with their young prop Liam Watts who is abig unit and a real handful. one negative was that Josh Charnley was taken off 15 minutes from the end with what looked like an ankle injury. Otherwise a good, strong team effort.

His three tries were run ins. One from Flanagan (who went off in the first half) and two from Pryce.

No problems with him defensively today.

Sam looked a league above when he came on despite the HKR coaching staff telling them to "take him out".

Pryce is an enigma, his skill level is superb, one try beating three men close to the line and made two for Ainscough, but he is so laid back, you feel you could shake him.

Ben Davies was outstanding again and there were one or two good things from Steffan Marsh.

Joe Mellor was great in the first half but understandably took a lesser role once Sam came onto the park. Hansen played the full 80, made good yards and did his usual tackling stint.

Another good win.

Scoring trys in the reserves whilst working on his game will do Ainscough no harm but i'd have him back in next week with Carmont taking a rest.

Sam should definitely have a spot in the 17 against Wire, whether he will is another matter

Deserve it or not Carmont is on one leg at the minute so he should get one with Phelps going to centre and Richards back to fullback.

Ainscough back in the side, drop Phelps, move Pat to fullback and put Karl Pryce at centre.

he's been outstanding these past 5 games and deserves his spot probably more then any of our other outside backs.

He has been good and has improved vastly over the past few weeks. But he is seriously error prone. He was sliding about all over the place and twice he was beaten 1 v 1. That is the reason Roberts had to come back and make that world class tackle.

and Karl Pryce would do miles better

His defence for a big man is shocking.

Phelps is one of the last players who deserves to be dropped, he was sliding about all over the place last night? Who wasnt?

His defence from fullback has generally very good bar a missed tackle last night...............even the greatest fullabck in the world Paul Wellens misses the odd one!

Warrington's 100% record crashed today with them losing 26-22 in Hull so Wigan are the only Reserve side left with a 100% 9 wins from 9

Richards to FB, Phelps to centre, Ainscough wing. would not even consider playing that unfit, uncaring fat lump of lard when we've got so many players that want to play for wigan at the minute (that should apply to riddel as well!!)

get rid of deadwood at end of season. bring through youngsters. use extra cash on salary cap to bring in one maybe two really top players.

The very reason ive been saying for weeks Pat should be FB. Richards is one of the best defencive FB in super league and should be there every week.

Id swap gleese and phelps centres because ainny and phelps admitadly do have potential for a defensive nightmare....where as roberts wil help phelps as will gleese, ainny to sturdy the defence, but if all are fit we should have the following every week for me
