After the game I thought FPN looks like he has a lot of potential and I didn't realise how big he was, he needs to up his fittness to up his commitment in defence as he looked a little lazy especially when he should have been the third man in to take the legs of finish off the tackle. I'm sure in time or at least next season he will have the work rate and commitment in defence drilled into him.

Manfredi was good as usual, I don't know how he doesn't break through the line every time he takes it in, he runs so hard and it's as if he's made of rubber, I think Mandredi would be one of the best fullbacks in the world if given the chance.

On another note, we had a thread a mile long about Hampshire, people wondered if he'd be the next Longy but with Shorrocks as back up I don't see why we would need Hampshire, Shorrocks is miles better in the halves.

I still feel that Matty blows too hot and cold for us. His attacking kicks are generally very ordinary. We had several sets of six on the Leeds line last night when we just let them off the hook.

He looked lost without Tomkins as he did earlier in the year. It's like watching two totally different players when we're with and without Sam Tomkins.

It's a worry really because he shouldn't be so reliant on one player to take the pressure off him.

As someone said earlier in context ie with many key players missing and several young kids I thought that it was a pretty decent performance.
Without ST though we lack real cohesion in attack and don't have the same threat particularly in the opposition 20 metres.

TT has been great this season however the tackle where he went in 3rd man wasn't good and I can see a suspension coming his way next week. The need to control PTB is for me is the prime reason for general poor quality across all facets of the game because to control the ruck is the overriding need for all teams above everything else. I would love know how many minutes Sarginon for example spends on wrestling in training compared to passing. TT had no need to go in 3rd man other than he has been mentally drilled to get get a player on his arris even if he has been stopped and is no threat.

Oh aye every time they mentioned your 9 injured players they followed it up by mentioning your 7 players under 21, including the two 19 year old's who both had to get up this morning for their paper rounds. in fact the only time they veered from the script was when they mentioned how lucky "super SOL" was to only get a 1 match ban for what they termed an horrific tackle.

Williams' attacking kicks were very ordinary last night too. Having players out shouldn't affect the quality of our halves' kicking games.

When in reality it was anything but a horrific tackle and a 1 match ban was the correct punishment.

It was unbelievable that we never put a high attacking kick up to Manfredi when he clearly had the beating of Hall. On a few occasions Smith opted to just drill it straight into a Leeds players hands instead. Ridiculous.

Beating Wigan this season was the biggest event in his life. Losing to Wigan very closely a couple of weeks ago was the second biggest event.

He's bound to yap on about it.

Thought we did OK considering the 9 first teamers missing. Hardly a fantastic performance, but thought we gave a good account of ourselves, a bit more composure and we could have nicked it. Looking forward, when we get a proper team on the field I make us huge favourites for both trophies but we will see.

Besides a few shining moments I thought we were pretty mundane to borderline poor. Smith's kicking game was atrocious last night. Williams was the standout player for me though even he made some poor decisions. Manfredi showed his metal in the air and really should have been given some try scoring chances.
