I was up in Leigh on Friday night after the dreadful England game, i was tanked up.
I had my hair in an almost identical way that Sammut of Crusaders has his and i'm 6ft 1in.

I was pinned up against a wall by a complete tool of a guy who to fair i would have buried 6 ft under with very little effort whatsoever yet i kept cool explained to him the situation as to how i saw it apologised (even though it was his fault) and bought him a pint to show there was no hard feelings (it's amazing how calm you are when you are actually quite handy) job done, night enjoyed but hey that's me.

ok i'll tell that to my mate who had his jaw broke in Princes nightclub 10 years ago when he had one thrown at him.

Theres no excuses at all pal and it needs looking at but also I believe players need to reign it in a little. What Wellens did tonight was pretty much fine(although a little needless lobbing the ball into the Wigan fans) but I didn't think the reaction of the Leeds players was acceptable at their place the other week.

Ban the fans who throw these objects but also just have a friendly word with the players(of all clubs).

(the leigh insident was an eg of restraint, the beer throwing incident was to show it isn't something worthy of just saying 'it's only beer throwing' as a way of justifying that you are still rugbys little angels and i'll arrange to have a drink not hide behind a computer if they want proof.

As i was sat in the south stand it was a disgrace what happend after the final hooter. coins,pint pots and bottles being thrown by morans in the crowd, seemes to come from the middle to the right of the stand shouldnt be hard to find out with the cctv.

however i think every one is missing the point here, the throwing of things onto the pitch, punching of away fans, fighting, bullying or menacing at a rugby league match is stupid and dangerous, more importantly it, when shown on TV, will paint our sport in a bad light, making more idiots turn up thinking it's a good place for a rumble!

is that what you want? i don't, i take my 9 year old to the match to encourage him to understand the aggro should take place on the pitch in a controlled and sports like manner, rather than on the terraces/stands.

Its all in the heat of the moment. I'm not condoning it, but i sympathise. Its not a "Wigan" thing, like fighting isnt a "Hull" thing, its just one of those things that transcends the badge on your chest that attracts the odd thug.
