At one point i would have definately said Tommy 'Last try at CP (RIP)' Martyn................................But through work, i now know him personally, and he is not for one moment the egomaniac that we thought we saw on the pitch.
As a matter of fact, completely the opposite.
Never thought i'd say it, but, a genuinely humble guy who loves RL (even Wigan!), and a damn good player that we certainly would have wanted in cherry n white (be honest now!).

Even apologised to me for THAT try at CP (RIP)!!!

Couldn't agree more regarding Martyn. I spoke to him a few years ago regarding T-shirts and he was a genuinely lovely fella. Made me feel bad about all those years I spent booing him.

i must admit my favorite ever St Helens try celebration was in last years grandfinal by a (recently voted) man of steel after scoring the first try of the game

arms held out by his side, smug grin on his pomus ginger head, a knowing look across his brow to say to the leeds fans assembled

"yes i am Man of steel, the greatest there has ever been, now bask in my utter brilliance"


only thing wrong with that is that the leesd pack then owned him for the rest of the game and won the match!!

Back to the subject, Graham currently for me is someone I'd like to see get what he is due. Sick of his whinginig moaning pram spitting behaviour. Not to mention his big ginger head and illuminous skin.....grrrr.
