No, but sadly he will go to wherever the biggest pay-cheque comes from, given he is not allowed to register with Souths, so I guess that excludes anything but Union or AFL as realistic options.

just one more point, is anyone else extremely annoyed at the contract renewal for karl pryce?
i know we need cover for the wing with pat being out till march/april.
but if his shocking performances last season didnt give him the boot, what will?

The Karl Pryce issue seems to be the most divisive amongst fans at the moment.

when he's fit and on top of his game, he can be a very good player, but this rarely happens.

I agree he was given little opportunity and when he did play he scored tries and looked solid.

Without Pryce we lack depth in quality wingers. If Pat/Goulding/Amos got injured we only have young backs for cover.

Pryce adds depth to the squad, and doesn't demand a massive wage.

Was a real asset for us last year - something like 15 tries? Not bad for squad player.

Unfortunately some people, myself included, still look at Pryce and think "waste of time, money" etc etc. I will think that until I'm proven wrong.

The same with Fielden, Goulding, Roberts, Richards. All the things we're saying about KP - were said about those 4. Look at them now.
I'll give him a chance, and I think other's should too as it really is make or break for KP now. The more and more fans get on his back, the worse he'll perform as the confidence levels will plummet.

I thought he was much improved last year, could easily have made that right wing spot his own but for Goulding finding form. If he stays fit I think he'll have big year and get a regular spot

For Pryce to get a regular spot I feel he needs others to be either injured or out of form, when he does get the opportunity he needs to prove his worth.

But he scored at more than a try a game and wasn't at fault defensively for many (if any) tries.

I still feel long-term he will be a centre just because he doesn't have that acceleration which is useful for wingers, but because of his size he will draw people in and create space for others.

I don't see what more he can do when he's on the pitch though, people can't be happy. If you want a player who will jump up around and be over enthusiastic , back slapping etc, go for Richie Mathers.

I agree. Even with injuries it is debatable if he should even be next in line for a chance with some of the younger players coming through. Either way if he does get a chance he needs to show much more than he has so far and in particular needs to be much quicker and fitter if he is to stand a chance. If he isnt than I honestly cant see him being any better than what we saw last season. If he can get quicker and fitter then he should improve his game and be a better player as it will allow him to have a better work rate and make more metres when bringing the ball forward and in his kick returns. It should also help to make him less of a liability in defense than he was at times last season.

I think this is the season for Prce to shine, if he gets a good pre season under his belt with Pat being injured he could make that spot his own for the rest of the season ala Goulding last season.

Pretty sure Roberts will get Pat's spot till he's back, and Charnley's probably ahead of KP too.

This rumours thread is going slow who has any good gossip its reported farrells stalling on a new deal but i hope its tied up pretty soon as we have 12 players out of contract at the end of the year
