I agree, finishing top may not be remembered in the future but in the present it shows how much progression there has been and the 'hubcap' could be actual proof of the progression. It'll mean more to Wigan fans than anything else.

Wigan were at least 20 points better than Huddersfield today. Only the referee kept them anywhere close to us.

We could just bring them back for last couple of games. Easy this super league lark, thats why every team that wins the playoffs has just sauntered into the top 8.

Let's face it they have some class big game players and are always gonna be a threat when it's knock out football.

The good point from a Wigan perspective is we are at the start of our journey with players like Sam, Joel, Mossop, Goulding, Farrell and to a lesser extent Tommy & Lockers. We are where Leeds were when they won their first SL title IMO and I hope we can follow thier path as well.

It was the position the penalties were awarded in as well. As I've mentioned on another thread, nearly all of theirs seemed to be on the 4th or 5th tackle about 20 yards from our line. Most of ours seemed to be in our own defensive zone.

For the Giants to not have won comfortably when enjoying such advantages was pathetic. And as for Kevin Brown - I take everything back that I said last week. They can keep him. He can't tackle for toffee, and still makes ridiculous decisions with ball in hand.
