| I won't be going on principle. If home and away fans were paying the same price the actual cost wouldn't be an issue but I refuse co-operate with the unfair pricing policy which goes totally against the ethos of the sport. Even Premier League teams aren't allowed to get away with charging more for away fans. Premier league guidelines say that away fans should be charged no more than home supporters sitting in similar areas.
My stance would be exactly the same if Leigh implemented a similar price structure, nothing to do with the distance as I've always enjoyed trips to Hull. Trying to suggest that Wigan supporters are welcome in the home sections is a little bit out of order as well. I'm not disputing we wouldn't be allowed access but I would much rather sit with my fellow supporters than risk putting my kids into a potentially confrontational situation. I'm not tarring all Hull fans with the same brush here by the way, but society is crumbling around us at present and the chances of this happening aren't insignificant these days.

Its exploitation and discrimination against away fans, why should i travel for four hours and pay more to watch the 'same game' at the 'same stadium'?
This was discussed on Super League Back Chat and they didnt seem very impressed either. The new concept of your owner...
Lets put it this way, i pay £13 concession at Wigan to sit in the South Stand on Good Friday the first ever derby at Langtree Park Saints admission structure doesnt allow mature students a discount therefore i had to pay £18.50 for my ticket, thats fine as it was a local derby and a historic first game. The point is this - Hull FC are asking £19 for a concession ticket and requires me to travel for four hours incuring another cost.
As discussed on Super League Back Chat even though clubs are individual businesses we need some standardisation across the board at all clubs set prices strucutres for adults, children, oaps, students, unemployed etc. The only issue is the standard of the stadia, in this repsect Hull and Hudds are up there with other 'Yorkshire' clubs floundering i.e Wakefield, Cas, Hull KR.
If people want to go and support thier club at Hull, fair play to you, i wont be going until this is rectified.

AFAIK you can pay on the gate and I believe the £25 is the 'on the day' price.

Why do see the need to make personal remarks. As has been mentioned numerous times the prices are not set by the fans, so obviously cannot do anything about them. If its a real issue for you, I suggest you contact the club direct and let them know your feelings.

While I tend to diagree with the policy re variation in ticket price between the north and south stands, are you really suggesting that Hull should offer you a discount on your tickets as you have to travel from Wigan to Hull to watch the game?

You get what is deemed a better view in the East Stand though. The comparisons have to made between the North and South. How much is it to sit in the stand directly opposite with the same view and the same facilities?

| Aren't the price differences between the north and south because AP discounted the south as a 'come back' plea to Hull fans?
The price in the north isn't compensating the south.

Which begs the question, Given Wigans generally good attendances, even in the recent rough years, what is the thinking behind the difference in price in the north and south stands at the DW?

What, a pound? Because its the away end probably. Not quite the same is it really?
BTW, as a football fan, I don't think the price is that expensive for the facilities and npr is it the reason why I'm not going. It's more a case of the £6 mark-up. £1-£3 maybe. £6 is too far though imo.

Its not the same, and FWIW I think the differential at Hull is to much (in my view it should be the same at both ends), but we've had a few rabid fans (of all teams, although a couple of particularly vocal Wigan ones claiming there should be no difference atall and Hull are ripping fans of by having any variation in price while either ignoring, or being ignorant of their team doing just the same, albeit on a smaller scale.).

TBH I don't think there should be a difference. I'm pretty sure that in football you aren't allowed to charge the away fans more for the same view and facilities but I might be wrong.

Correct. If the away fans are in the same stand as the home fans, the price must be equal, barring any members' discounts etc.

Thats correct the agreement between Premiership clubs is that they can not charge away fans more than the home fnas for a seat in an equivalent section of the stadium.
It is what it is 'exploitation'. Hull FC and their stadium management company have taken advantage of the fact that SL clubs are independant businesses and can set their ticket prices accordingly.
The Hull FC fans justifying this on other threads seem to be obsessed with the fact that the pre purchased £23 for the away section is the same they charge their own fans to sit alongside the pitch, it isnt comparable.

it is THE SAME PRICE. the North stand is designated for away fans but you can sit elsewhere in the ground.

no red hall is in leeds so would have to incur travel costs, red hall should come to him.
not fair that it's cheaper for leeds fans to get to red hall than it is for us wigan fans.
