It's down to Noble who enters and leaves the field of play and the timing of these decisions have to be questioned. Personally I don't think he should have played Bailey and perhaps even Lockers as neither were really match fit.

Imo Mossop should have played today.Our pack was to defensive and i think he would have offerd more in attack.

err, how about his substitutions and bringing Lockers and Bailey back when they clearly weren't fit? Smith owned him today.

going back to the forum this week it beggars belief that we have no signings due for next season, every man and his dog knows that this team is probably only 2 decent props away from being in a position to challenge for honours,it is just so frustrating for everyone who supports the club, that we dont have any signings to come apparently. we all know fielden has gone and has for a long time, as for feka the way he is bigged up on this forum is unbelievable,showed last week and again today he his one big expensive luxury we can't afford to have. the amount of cap these 2 take up is so bl@@dy frustating as it is holding us back from where we could be. as soon as they came on today the game went away from us,they were both an embarrassment.

I personally don't find it odd at all that we've made no knew signings for next year.

If popular opinion is correct and we need to get rid of fielden and feka, then why would you try and sign their replacements now when you'd not have anything like the cap space available you'll have at the end of next season when their contracts expire?

It seems pretty simple tbh, in the days of the salary cap you've quite often just got to tough it out until contracts expire.

I think IL is wanting to do it on the cheap ! His no new signings for next year.

Spot on, no matter how much we want rid of certain players while there under contract we have no option but to stick with them, it's just a shame that we could suffer from the same problems next year as we have this year in regards to going forward.

Or maybe he's just applying common sense and waiting till he has the [iright[/i amount of cap space for the [iright[/i type of player, and not trying to fit in 6 or 7 props (which is what you'd have to do as feka and fielden would still be on contract) and end up having to let some youngsters go?

I'd still hope that both of their performances will be better next year, get feka to gain some condition, and get stuart to bulk up more - skin graft between the two?

I got shot down by some for criticising Feka's defence after last weeks game. He played the same game today that he played last week but Monaghan exploited the holes Saints didn't last week.

It's shape up or ship out time now for sure. He should be left out of the side for the next 4 games up until the play offs under the instructions to lose weight.

If he does it he gets his place back.

If Noble is given another year and we don't make any signings for next season then roll on 2011 as far as rugby is concerned as it'll be the same old story as it's been for the last 3 years in 2010.

To true, for me if we are going to stick with the same players for next year which it looks like we are, then a new coach has to come in and freshen things up, and it would give that coach an extra year to see who he wants in/out for 2011.

I thought Coley had a great game and I felt prescott held their own... Fielden, well the less said the better and Feka well his defence today was shocking, how many tries did we concede down the middle of the field... Our marker play was awful...

Why was piggy off the field soooo long?? when it was obvious moving sean and putting tommy @ 9 wasnt working... if we had of conceded one less try in that first half I thought we would have beat them today... but hey thats sport I suppose.... I am gutted!!!

But i thought it was so obviously simple to some fans that we just play tommy at 9 and the world will be rosy, just like we should play ainscough and we'll score trys for fun

Noble has to learn lessons from this year if he's going to stay next year.

Players 'must' be picked on merits......forget the age, forget the reputations, they have to be picked when they're in form and players that are out of form don't play.

I'd have picked Roberts and Feka today because they're experienced and have only had 1 poor week last week against Saints. After today they've had 2 nightmares on the trot and thats enough to be left out of the side imo. We have Mossop and Ainscough that deserve a crack and both should come in next week.

Thats send out a message that they're ruthless and that players must preform to keep their places.

Gleeson was as bad for you as those Fielden and Paleaseena. He was barely noticed and was totally dominated by King who scored an hat trick. Gleeson too takes up a big chunk of your cap from next year and considering your weaknesses in the forwards he was a very strange signing to make. Did no one at Wigan think why Warrington was so keen to get rid?

He is just another example of Wigan signing a player based on name rather than how he has actually performed for the last few season at his club.

There ain't a cat in hells chance that Roberts or Fielden are going to be dropped next week.

I was thinking about this... I know players have to earn a living, but it is pretty obvious that fielden is our 4th best prop... should he not be going to lenegan and saying, "I am sorry that I am crap and I feel that I deserve a pay cut, so that we can go out a buy a decent prop next year"... I know money rules the world but I couldnt hold my head up in that dressing room knowing how crap I was and being paid that ammount of money.... which ultimately stops the team progressing to the next level.... players are all too quick to go and look for a raise when they are playing well... maybe when they are consistently poor year after year they should be docked money....
