| Phelps needs to be involved, one of our best players currently, but ive no idea how you arrange the backs to enable him to be involved, as much as I want to see Roberts & Gleeson build a partnership, Roberts would be the one to miss out for me.
Pack wise, Tommy to 9, the rest pick themselves, Hansen to continue to miss out.
Sam & Smith at half.

Yeah without doubt.
I still think McIlorum has got something to offer at this club even though he's been wrote off in certain parts.
His forms been pretty good when he's played this year.

Would like to see him go on loan and get some first team experience in super league or NL1 he is a good player but just need to get his decision making up to speed he is way to slow the opposition are on him before he passes the ball

I've said before that i'd like us to go down the Saints route of loaning out our youngsters who aren't quite getting their chance here with a view to bringing them back as a better player and getting thme into the first team when the opportunity arrises.
Goulding is one who's already gone aswell as Mossop and i'd like to see the likes of McIlorum and Flanagan follow.

I worry about what happens when Riddell comes off to be honest, he's very underrated and we seem to drop off the pace whenever he's off the pitch. If he's injured I'd start Sam Tomkins at stand off with Smith at scrum half, Leuluai at hooker and McIllorum on the bench. If Carmont's still injured I'd be radical and throw Roberts in at centre.

I'd always have him at full-back. His tackling and catching of the high ball is impeccable. He won't GO down the wing so I don't like him there.

You cant deny that he will get himself on the end of attacking kicks though. i think we should have him here to help defend against gardener coming down that wing. we will need to be solid down the right against aguably the best wing/ partnership in SL.

| Would it not be an idea to just get Pat to turn up on the wing in attack on 5th tackle to catch a bomb?

Are top for us in terms of try assists - 5 each.
3 players some board members think are average at best.

Typical fly with the wind wigan fans!! 2 Weeks ago phelps should have been out the door, now hes seen as good enough to keep our best player out
Shows you how fickle wigan fans are....richards is out of form because of injury for two to three weeks and people want to drop him! Pathetic really

| Nobody mentioned the possibility of using Pat as centre if carmont is still out? He'll give Ainscough a bit of protection under the high ball, sure up the defence on that side, as well as possibly allowing phelps to continue at full back?

if george is injured that is a great idea and noble will probably go with that because he will be confused as he does not want to change the partnership outwide with gleeson and amos.

It wasn't, but pat wasn't as comfortable in the team or playing as well then. Also pat has a good reputation now, and would have been targeted before. Something tells me they're not gonna aim for him when they put kicks up wherever he is....

Roberts
S Tomkins
Smith
Fielden
Tommy
Feka
Bailey
Hock
Lockers

Surely you would have Richards at Full Back ahead of Phelps? Coley to start so that you can use Feka for impact? Just my view and if Wigan went with your side I think Saints would be quite happy.

I still dont think that Millward was given enough time at Wigan. Things dont happen overnight and I think thats half the problem with clubs these days that they dont give the coaches a chance to shine.

You would say that!
How much longer, until he had driven the club to NL2?

Supporters expect success right away when new coaches are appointed and 9 times out of 10 this doesnt happen. I dont just mean Millward but any coach. People from all sports should take the lead of the Manchester United board who refused to sack Sir Alex Ferguson all them years ago. He built the club from the youth academy to the first team and to this day I am convinced that if they had sacked Ferguson United wouldnt have had the quarter of the trophies they have today.

True infact i am sure Wigan would have added to there giant haul of trophies by now had millward been in charge for a longer period of time.
Sat alongside the numerous honours and trophies I think we could also now have the Northern Rail Cup and maybe a NL1 Title too!
How anyone could say Millward deserved longer at the club is beyond me!!
