I reckon we're gonna end up having to ask the Premier League for special dispensation to play in that Saturday 2.30 slot. In theory it shouldn't be a problem as they are going to have much longer to set up ready for Latics on Sunday than they do when it's 8pm Friday 3pm Saturday. Whether it works out that easy or not is a different issue!

I think the following games will be televised

Wigan Vs Saints on Sky Friday night.
Cats Vs Wire Saturday afternoon on the Beeb.
Leigh Vs Leeds Sunday afternoon on the Beeb.

Whelan will not allow Warriors to play on the Sat & IL will not want to give up home advantage. The Beeb have the schedules drawn up months in advance and will not change unless it was a very special occasion.
So Friday night on Sky it is.

If they did Wigan should have to forego their TV money because they'd quite possibly be forcing the RFL to breach their contract with the BBC.

no doubt if we get the go ahead to play saturday then the Whelan will make sure the high costs of staff working sat/sun to get stadium ready for lactics will be passed onto us.....lol

The Catalan v Wire game will probably be a better game anyway.

Do you think if Wigan RL did a very public grovel on bended knees with much wringing of hands,Whelen may relent and give permission for it to be played on the Saturday.
If it was public enough he may not want to come out of it in a bad light,giving permission would give him the impression of a hero coming to the rescue.
