| One of my favourites is when a ref called Cowie over after something had gone on a few moments earlier. He asks Cowie "are you 8?" talking about the number on his back.
Cowie replies "no im 21" and the ref sends him away telling him that he is looking for no 8. Cowie walks off with a big smile on his face.

You brought back some awesome memories for me with ur post!!
The guy who made the ''Knob Out'' sign kindly gave it to me at the game so i could get my autographs on it haha
Still got the sign at home with all the wakefield and wigan autographs on it!!
I did get some odd looks from the players when they were signing it

| 1985 Challenge Cup Final-Alex Murphy Quotes
John Ferguson had scored his first try pass the Hull winger Dane O Hara and Murph said "that was the best winger in the world he has just gone past"
What Dane O Hara?
Later in game another classic he spotted Fergie limping, then he went 50 yards to score his second try, then Murph said "if he has a bad leg I wish I had one"

Barrie said - "When nobody turns up for your 21st you know you should become one"

| Ray French - "All credit to the lad" and "He's going for the line." Guaranteed he would say this at least 3 times each time he commentated.
Was it him or Murphy who was suggesting John Ferguson was struggling before he went 60 yards at Wembley.
