People shouldn't worry about Tommy playing at #9 next season if we sign Lima, Finch and Hoffman.

Ok Tommy is no Piggy but he’s not as bad as some make out. Playing behind that pack especially Hoffman and Joel and having an excellent organiser like Finch outside him will make it a hell of a lot easier for any hooker.

I’m not worried in the slightest if these are the signings we make.

If this is confirmed then i'm a happy guy.

I'm excited already and this season isn't even over yet, I think we all knew that 2011/12 was when we was going to start getting the bigger name players in again and it shows. Hoffman will be one of the best signings for next season, I can tell you that now. Exciting times ahead and once again a big well done to club for getting these 2 over when Im sure other NRL clubs would have been sniffing around. Our pack looks very solid for next year.

IF this comes to be correct, which it looks like, this is excellent news for Wigan. Two players from the NRL who are currently on top of there game.

Would be a pretty fearsome 17! A lot of good squad players that we could call upon as well.

Feka = a poor mans Jeff Lima.

He is basically a bit like Feka but he can tackle and he can last 40 - 50 minutes a game.

IL stated from day one was that it was his intention to build a squad around Wigan / English players and then top up with top class overseas imports.

Roberts, Richards, Lima, Hoffman and hopefully Finch would fall into that category.

The strength in depth that Wigan have this season (and certainly next season) has been the difference between us, Leeds, Saints and Warrington.

Cross Richards off that list. He doesn't count on the quota.

2010 = Cameron Phelps, Mark Riddell and Amos Roberts are the only ones that count.

With Phelps and Riddell leaving it leaves us with four spots on the quota.

haha im sorry but have you ever heard of the salary cap, yes you could afford one of them but not both including gaz hock who is coming back next year, you will massivly over the salary cap

We could afford to buy the whole Storm team on Fekas wage. And with Fieldens rumours reduction in salary we should be cash rich.

Gaz Hock will play for buttons if he has any sense.

The salary cap is live. We wouldn't be able to make the signings if we weren't under the cap.

The biggest compliment I can give Hoffman is that he reminds me of a bigger version of Dave Furner

I'd agree with that. Despite his world cup exploits at 9 I have never been convinced that TL should play there full time. I have been critical of him at 7 in the past as well but I have got to say this season he has played really well at 7 and it's been his best season with us so far.

The only reason I can see a half back on the horizon is possibly the lack of a kicking game as that is one area this season neither TL nor Sam have been brilliant at IMO.

I have a semi on at the thought of this being true!

2 outstanding players with years ahead of them and still in their prime.

As others have said our potential pack for 2011 is frightening.

I understand the comments regards why sign a second row, but while we have some very good young backrow forwards, Hoffman is world class and if a world class player becomes available and you had a chance to sign him you would be crazy not to.

In a straight swap for Bailey we still have a healthy number of backrow forwards, now and the younger guys are still getting a good bit of game time.

I feel MM likes the balance in the squad, its the personnel that he sees as needing a little work to really be happy with the squad.
