Ditto. I always prefered the 6:30pm Sunday slot they had for a couple of seasons about 10 years back.
They've got lined up
Sunday Bradford v Leeds 4:45pm
Sun 6 June Harlequins v Crusaders 5:45pm
Sun 13 June Crusaders v Bradford Bulls 5:15pm
Sun 20 June Wigan v Saints 5:15pm
Sun 27 June Match TBC Next Week 5:45pm
Sun 4 July Catalans v Wigan 7:15pm
Bradford v Warrington (Saturday 6:15pm) is the other game being shown on the weekend we play Saints.

I fully intend to have a few beers in the day but It’s still not the same as a Friday night lash up after the game with a full weekend to look forward to after. I still think there’s no better way to start a weekend than a Friday home match.
Plus there is the added drawback of work the next day. Obviously days can be booked off but I still can’t see why we have to move for football on another channel.

Where's that info from, Bilko? The Sky sports tv schedule still shows everything as TBC after the Quins v Crusaders game.

Because the football game in question will be being watched in almost every house in the country and in every pub in the country. SKY want to show our game and also (rightly) want to have a chance of attracting an audience for it. As much as we may love RL when up against an England World Cup football match there is no contest as far as the national audience goes.

| Why would we want to go head to head with an England World Cup game??? No doubt if we did the crowd would be lower and tv audience would be much lower to. Makes sense to move it, so stop moaning.

Are we not allowed an opinion on here anymore?
I don’t watch football and I’m not d about the results either so being inconvenienced by it has bugged me I’ll admit.
We may get a smaller TV audience than normal but it’s hardly the end of the world for a one off. SL has been getting better TV audiences than most sports over the past 5 years but it’s still not filtering through to the terraces on a large scale.
Odds on if you’re an RL fan you’d tune in any way for Wigan vs. Saints if it was on TV and although we’d probably lose the casual TV RL fans for that one game they’d be back the next week.
I watch Union when it’s on TV and I don’t mind it tbf BUT there is a massive step from me liking it on the TV and actually going to a game. Many of these fans we are catering for won’t be turning up on the terraces any time soon and once again it’s the normal RL fans who are pushed around.

| Personally i'm glad they've moved it as they were always going to. I'm not that d about England but will jump on the bandwagon for the World Cup, good excuse for a p!ss up with the lads. Sensible decision to move it and a quality sporting weekend!!

Who is this aimed at? I was explaining why the game has been moved (correctly IMO) to prevent the clash with the England game, not moaning about it. I am glad they don't clash as I want to attend the derby and watch the football match.

Moaning is hardly an opinion, what is it with some people on here who just like to complain? Its been moved for logical reasons, as whether you like it or not the England world cup game would have impacted the crowd figure and tv audience. So why would we keep it on a friday just so you can have a drink, when infact for most people there is more pre-match drinking time on sunday rather than fridays, if you dont like drinking on sunday then tough, i doubt other people mind. I personally prefer friday games but under these circumstances it makes alot of sense.

To fans in general as there are a few moans, not you personally, sorry if it seemed that way. Most people like yourself can see why its been moved....

It is likely to be one of Sky Sports biggest (if not the biggest) live events of the weekend - why would they put it up against an England world cup game?

Ignore that guff on Sky's site, its been badly updated for a long time. See [url=http://www.rugbyleagueontv.co.uk =#FF0000www.rugbyleagueontv.co.uk[/url and scroll down a bit.
Oh and the source isn't that hard. The Super League site's fixtures are often well up to date.
