We should have won by 20 judging on first half performance, was like playing Catalans again



But we took our foot of the gas second half and let a very poor side win by 2 points due to missed tackles, but the way they celebrated at the end must have meant it was a cup final for you lot - bless.

I think they celebrated the way that they did because in 40 minutes they overturned a 20 - 0 score against the league leaders.
Which is some feat.

To be honest i dont think you took your foot of the gas i think the wind was the problem for the kicking game

Of course we took our foot off the gas. It was a classic case of thinking we had the game won after only 40 mins of rugby. Full credit to Bradford for sticking with it and believing they could win it, their confidence seemed to grow as they got closer and we simply couldn't change from our negative attitude to stop the roll.

I think it's a minor speed bump tbh and wouldn't call it a bubble bursting or anything like that.

But you've only played two good teams (and one of those only turned up for forty minutes). Blew one. Almost blew the other. What happens when the good teams roll in? Hull, Saints, Leeds, Huddersfield?

This next month is Maguire's testing period. A bit of adversity with some good teams pending. If you're still looking good after Easter, then I think you've got a really promising season ahead. But you have to remember that Hull won their first five games last year and look where they ended up. What may change things is that last year Noble would have been waffling about Humpty Dumpty, etc. This year, I expect Wane will give them some hard truths.

3 good teams, unless your forgetting Hull KR were one of the top 4 sides last year in SL.

We became complacent in the second half when Bradford came out all guns blazing. A big lesson learned. I hope it doesn't happen again and MM drills this into them all week. We shouldn't be giving up 20 point leads to lose games. It jusnt isn't acceptable. Well done to Bradford though, they dug deep and deserved their win.

I don't think it was a case of Wigan taking their foot off the gas in the second half. That is just an excuse. If you had been playing in the opposite direction in the first half with the wind against you Bradford could quite easily have gone in at half time with a bigger lead than Wigan did. If you had then mounted a comeback in the second half you would all have been praising your team. On the night you were no better and no worse than the Bulls. On a lighter note ...my other half backed Bradford to win at -6 at 10/11 so he was a happy chappy at the end.
Wigan have not been really tested this season as they had a couple of easier fixtures at home to start with and then the Wire game which Wire lost rather than Wigan won. You were very lucky in the end to come away with that win. You then played a depleted out of form Dragons side once again at home. You will need to look at the situation again in a few weeks time to see just how good you actually are. I think Wigan are a much improved side from last year but it is too early in the season to make any real judgement on the team and it's performances so far.

I see the resurgent Fielden had a blinder.............NOTTTTT

Be fair. He was probably knackered. After he found out that Gareth Thomas was joining him in RL he went on a bender.

The thing is that we know we are going to be up against it this weekend. So a win will be a bonus for us, HKR's ground is a bogey ground for us. So can we carry on trolling please.

I think we've been lucky in all 5 games so far tbh and really should be bottom.

We've had lucky fixtures, lucky calls, lucky bounces and all the lot.

We're rubbish.

Apparently McGuire came over to sign for Leigh but took a wrong turn.

and ended up with this totally rubbish but lucky set of players.

I'm not sure if that was good or bad luck on his part but it involved Wigan so it was luck one way or the other.
