I would just like to say a massive thanks again to everyone who has taken an interest.

Unfortunatly Luke has taken an infection and it back in the specialist liver ward in Leeds, under the care of the CLDF, and while he is recieving treatment it again really hammers home how important it is and what a great organisation they are.

Can i please encourage anyone who is considering or who has ever thought about becoming a donor to go to the link on the first page and get the info and sign up.

Thanks Gateaux, bit bummed out tonight as we are seperated as a family, due to the conditions on the ward, but he is on the mend it seems and as the hour turns towards 12-00, touch wood (and in no way tempting fate) things can only get better from here for 2010.

Raised so far: £1,275.00 and keeps rising slowly, I hope that the bad weather moves for the friendly match and that you can all have a safe journey over, I doubt this weeks game against Fev will be on

Well the Wife hoped we would get £500, I hoped for a thousand but to date the total stands at over the £1500 mark(although the website does not reflect a further £200 that is to be added) much of which has come from the rugby league community, it is mind blowing!

Unfortunately Luke has been in hospital since the 27th December and to be honest it has been a roller coaster of ups and downs and once again everyone caring for him and us as well has been amassing. Which makes me all the more determined to finish this thing regardless of the conditions.

An aside to this is that between work and the hospital I have no time to train and am probably going into this in the worst condition I have been in, in years, so it really is going to be a massive challenge, just in case it temps anyone else to chuck in a few quid or wish to look in to signing up for a donor card.

Well the day of reckoning is fast approaching heading down to Birmingham today ready for the race in the morning, i would like to again thank everyone who has taken an interest in my cause, I am totally unprepared due to Luke being in hospital all month, although good news we did finally get him out earlier this week, but i am determined to finish it regardless of what the race throws my way.

Many thanks to everyone not often I am lost for words but the donations offered by RL fans have contributed to well over an £2000 contribution to the Childhood Liver Disease Foundation and hopefully as well as raising money has also raised some awareness too, and for that I am truly humbled.

anyone know how jonh got on with the tough man race yesterday. it showed some clips on Sky Sports news today and looked bloody freezing. Quite a few got hyperthermia apparently with the conditions

Flamin hell Jon, the race was yesterday?! Is it even safe to do something like that in those conditions? Hope it went OK and you're a lot warmer now.
