Its good to know we have a quality halfback signed up for 5 years who is Wigan through and through.

Although Tommy isn’t from Wigan we can rest assured knowing we can add his name to the two above to give us a young and talented spine to the team. Tommy is just as committed as the above two mentioned and imo he’ll be here for a while as well. This is great news considering the turnover we’ve had in recent seasons.

Why did you have to mention Tommy and spoil it! As with coaches a low turnover in is only good if they deliver results and as a 7 Tommy isn't up to the job. Yes I know IL said he sees him as a 9 but I am not convinced he is particularly well suited to that position long term as a main 1st choice hooker either.

I think Leuluai can have an important role for Wigan in the number 9 spot, remember he has only just turned 24. For someone as experienced as him to be so young can only be good in the long term as he grows with our current young squad (OLoughlin afterall is only 26).
McIllorum/Logan Tomkins and Leuluai in the hooking role in the future for Wigan.

I agree, but unfortunately we're stuck with Piggy for another 2.5 years.

Hopefully we can get rid of him this off season by releasing (Homesick rumour) or next by offering to sell to any other clubs.

I think long term for the benefit of the team and our homegrown players - I think we should release him from his contract and agree a compensation package.

I agree. It might make it difficult for us if anything gets placed against the Salary Cap but I think the sooner Leuluai moves to a number 9 (highlighted by the choices of the best coach in the world during the World Cup) the better it will be for us as a club. Leuluai is one player who always gives 100% during the game and is a highly energetic player, useful traits for a hooker.
