The shop on Toogood Lane sells top quality stuff. On the way towards Mawdsley or Ecclestone from Wrightington Country Club.
Most of the meat is produced on the farm - it looks different to most of the stuff you buy at the supermarket 'cos it doesn't have any crap added to it - and they only kill what they sell the following week or so so all very fresh.

Local lamb, venison etc etc. If you're happy with the bright red run of the mill stuff stick with Chadwicks, the proper stuff's at Toogoods.'"

Like I said Fridays is best you get the best choice then, it's only a small place but worth the drive, although they do have stuff in their freezers too. We drive from up there from Ashton on recommendation. |
