I think people are sold on the fact that if he's getting a few games for Melbourne, then he is probably better than anything we have right now, despite most people never seeing him play
Which i'd go along with, retarded as it sounds

He is the only British fullback that has pace. Paul Wellens and Shaun Briscoe are too slow & are not good enough. Sam Tomkins is doing a sterling job for us at the moment at fullback, but we need him at six at international level because no other halfback is as strong in defence as him. Danny McGuire has had a good season, but is very average in defence for Leeds & is utterly atrocious for us at international level. He will just get ripped to pieces.

To travel only? you must be joking he will have to be in the starting 13 unless injured of course. It is like saying Sam to travel also.

Bailey is just a thug, not much of a rugby player. He had a great chance to step up and lead the pack at the weekend and responded by doing nothing except starting fights. Eastmond has to be in there too, he's quality

| IN the last 6 weeks Westwood has played better than Joel. If you're picking on form, its Westwood at the moment.

Picked Riley because theres no real stand out winger .and his partnership with Atkins gives him the nod for me.
the pack is hard as nails same as the bench.

| Everyone seems to consider Ryan Hall as an automatic choice. Personally think he's a little over-rated and looked very average in the England shirt last year.

Not many better options around though unfortunately. There's Hall, Fox, Briscoe and Riley to pick from but none really stand out as significantly better than everyone else. Hall probably gets the nod simply because he's the biggest

| Bridges form was class before he had to get the injury sorted he was our top player for try assists at the time and IMO his form was better then Atkins right now, but Atkins has abit of a different game style to Bridge though, Bridge can fill a number of positions has a good kicking an passing game and a great step which can unlock any defence but Atkins does seem to get better week after week he runs in the ball hard everytime and is a great athlete, from a Wire point of view if its going to be very interesting as our backline is awesome right now on paper Atkins, Bridge along with King, Hicks is mouthwatering but that doesn't mean it the best combo from a team sense, for England though if he gets back to his best an he could come back better because he play through the pain until it was sorted I would give it to Bridge both are still young though an have time on their side.

I have a present for you, a few things I just found lying around that I think you could make good use of:
,,,,,,,,...,,,.
That should be about enough punctuation to allow you to make some sense of your stream of consciousness.
On another note, I am surprised to see so many favouring McGuire. How many times do we have to see him fail to step up a level to international RL? Tomkins and Eastmond must be the halves in my view. I also add my voice to those who back Harrison. jonh's pick of Coley is interesting if a bit short-sighted given his age. I must admit that I'd love to see him have a go against Australia just for once.

| Although people are quite right to suggest the likes of riley and j.tomkins for the england team are we not forgetting that our esteemed coach didn't think they were amongst the 40 best english players and therefore left them out of the training squad. Sykes and manu got in though.

Thanks, for the only one here who has had the b@lls to mention Briscoe. I know we are all a bit biased towards our own clubs players and being a Hull FC supporter I'm no different. Briscoe has class all over and he's only 20 and NOT a winger he's a centre. Behind Atkins or Shenton, don't make me laugh. He's only on the wing for us on a temporary basis as we hav'nt one!
Open your eyes a little. Oh and before people start " He was taken off at H/T against the Ausies" rubbish, he was left high & dry by his centre and second rower to be mauled. This kid is class.

| I'd play Tom Briscoe on the wing aswell to be fair and he should be given a fair shot this time unlike last time when he took unfair blame for Lee Smith, Danny McGuire and Jamie Peacock being torn apart in the first half at Wigan against the Aussies. He hasn't played enough centre for Hull imo to be thrown into the 4 nations in that position which wheather right or wrong is a fact.
I'd go-
