I'm sure I sat behind this bloke and his lad only a few weeks ago. I've certainly seen him at a couple of home games this season and thoughts must really go out to the son and the rest of the family.

Hopefully Wigan will have a minutes silence for him next week.

I am sure they will. The club will be aware of this and unless is family have any objection it would be very fitting.

Heard the announcement as I was approaching the stadium and saw the Ambulance rush in. Christ, terrible news.

I hope the guy rests in peace and my thoughts are with his family, it's times like these that the RL community truly put aside differences and come together as one big family.

I hope that the man and his son will have had many happy memories, and that they got to watch the GF last year and the CC this year.

We recently lost a fan at warrington to the same sort of thing during a match, so it is very surreal to think about it.

Just got back from Hull and one of Warrington's greatest nights.
This news has brought me back down to earth with a bang.
My dad died on the day we played Wigan 3 years ago (not at the ground) and this has brought back some painful memories.

Rugby League is a true family sport and Rugby League fans are a family.
We're Warrington fans and Wigan fans but above all, we're Rugby League fans.

My deepest sympathies go out to the family involved and especially the poor lad he was with.

Wigan are one of the true great sporting clubs in the world and I am sure they will honour his passing with the appropriate minute's silence/applause at the next game.

My thoughts are with his son and family... absolutely terrible news.

Women died after a stroke I think at the HJ other week, no one should ever go and watch their team an not come home.

RIP very sad news.

Tragic news like this certainly puts life into perspective. Rugby league fans are a very close nit bunch who will have a bit of banter with opposition fans, but who will put their petty grievances to one side and will all feel for this poor family at such a tragic time.

I was up at the back of the South as usual didn't know anything of this until I read it here. I did see an ambulance in the far corner but you don't think it could be that bad do you.
We thought the atmosphere was a little subdued last night but put it down to the wire winning at Hull, so sad at such a young age... RIP

I am 43 years old and lost my dad very suddenly when I was 11. I know this poor lads pain and believe me I am crying as i type. God bless the poor little fellow, what a truely terrible thing to have to see.

Condolences to the family, a truly terrible night for that family. I go to the games with my Dad and have done for the last 12 years, i'd be lost without him. I hope the club can do something as a mark of respect for this gentleman, a minutes silence would be fitting. Such a shame, and at 42 which, really, is no age to go.
