I think there's a slight difference in success levels!

When Saints were so successful in the 1950s and 60s they regularly got 20,000 into Knowsley Road. So what? Just because you had an average of 14,000 20 years ago, when stadiums were not the issue they are now for the regular punter, doesn't mean that our gate won't increase when we move to a new stadium. Times change. People now demand all sorts of things when being entertained that they didn't even think about when Wigan were buying their success.

The K.C. stadium has a capacity of 25405, but we can't get 25000 plus for a derby game because of 2 reasons, first because the stadium is a complete dome segregation takes away a few hundred and also because we have unreserved sections we have to reduce the capacity by 10%. The first real derby at the stadium a few years ago sold out a month before the game. Hull F.C. said at the time we could have sold well over 30000 tickets, this year should sell out at around 23000

Even as a leyther Wigan's support impresses me. As a RL fan I hope Saints attendances go up when they move into a new stadium, it would be great to see regular sell-outs between your lot, Saints and Wire in the coming years.

Ticket sales for the big one 2 are very impressive considering we are a month away from the game.

I got a phone call 2 weeks ago from the club asking if I wanted more tickets for the game. I got one for my wife and the club swapped my normal season ticket (3) seats for 4 seats together. Great work by the club!
