Carmont's a classy player, but I agree he wasn't at his best at Wire.

You have to wonder if the fact that we shift the ball around more now takes something away from him, as our only real attack last year for long parts was on the left hand side. Most of our play went that way which meant Carmont got a lot more of the ball than he's seen this year (so far).

I know and they are cracking players, we have a home grown winger of our own who is a cracker in Paddy Flynn but he's recovering from a leg injury and were desperate to get him back especially with Shaun going back. Wigan have plenty of options in the pack so i can see Liam and Ben being with us for the season.

Well if ainscough goes to castleford i wont be happy.I can understand back to wigan, but this dual registration bothers me to be honest.So if another superleague club gets injuries, they fancy farrell and davies, then we lose progress.I want widnes to win the championship, so to help our franchise bid.I hope this dual deal means, he can only play for wigan and widnes.

Yes from a saints amateur team, but come through our academy.At least we are not like salford,claiming myler as one of their own, when came from the widnes academy.

Think Paddy Flynn probably just misses out on being home grown for us. The rule being you have to have been on the books for 3 years before your 21st birthday. As far as I can remember Flynn played in our academy in 2008 and played in our 1st team in 2009. Problem is he is probably joined us when he was 18/19 and is now 22. If we would have signed him before his 18th birthday he would have counted.

It's going to be interesting finding out exactly why he's been called back. I honestly can't see it being to play in the first team this Friday unless somebody picked up an injury we don't really know about.

My guess would be that theres something in the link with Castleford as we did similar with Lee Mossop last year recalling him from Barrow so we could send him to a superleague club in Huddersfield.

Could be a good move sending him to Cas. If Owen is out for the whole year as suspected, a full year playing in SL can do nothing but good things for Shaun.
