The good news for you is that we (Leigh) are missing Tonga Crooks and Higson from our 3/4's and we don't have the depth to cover. Higham and Hock will be badly missed upfront also. Could be who gets the rub that decides the winner.

Why not try Tom Davies at full back he as got the high and rarely misses a high ball and can run the ball out and beat the next man.

Plus Dawson, Fleming and Naughton got injured on Friday. (Naughton went off) If they don't recover, we won't have ANYONE to cover, never mind the depth!

I just see a bit more natural ability in the sense that they can play a bit and bring others in to the game with Gildart, Burgess or Marshall. Don't get me wrong, Davies has been brilliant and I think he's a fine player but he's a winger all day long for me. He's very much head down and play the game at 100mph. I say that as a positive and not a negative because the amount of work he's doing for the team is incredible.

But remember he's our 3rd choice fullback (and presumably being paid accordingly). I wouldn't swap him for any other club's 3rd choice fb, which is a fairer comparison.

Yes, indeed. But he is the incumbent, and, like NK, I suspect others in squad could do a better job.

Lockers and Powell will be fine for next week with Farrell back from suspension.

Sam Tomkins is back in full training and will be back for either Wire in the cup or the following game.

Gelling and Bateman have a chance of making the Wire cup game.

Fingers crossed we lose nobody tomorrow and we may be on the right track finally.

I saw Clubb in the gym about a week ago and he said that he would be back in two weeks. If my maths is right that makes about a week to go.

Great news on Manfredi. Wane has said he's not sure exactly when he'll be back but he think 2-3 weeks because he looks very good in training.

In the short term he may well be used as cover due to the form of Marshall and Burgess but if he gets a chance he's good enough to make himself first choice again, depending on how he is after the injury.

Amazing news on Manfredi, hadn't really considered him in the squad this year with the seriousness of the injury ( August expected return date)

Think he is still underrated by our fans, he was our best and most consistent player last year, getting in the dream team.

Assuming he's over the injury and back to his normal self, straight back in the team over Marshall for me.

According to Wigantoday Clubb could return this week with Gelling, TT and Dom the week after. A virtually fully fit squad but too late to make the playoffs in all probability. Frustrated isn't the word.

Just wih they could sort Gelling out fullstop,he always seems to pick these niggles that turn into long running injuries.

The last few weeks have been classed as 'must win' games (to have a chance of the Top 4). Well Sunday now is for entirely different reasons, we have Wire & Catalans breathing down our necks for that 8th spot, we play both over the next couple of weeks.

With a much stronger team, we really must put this Widnes game to bed, although they have performed well against us over the last couple of years.

A loss along with a poor performance would surely raise a number of questions. No excuses!
