| I really enjoyed it, it's stripped back and is 100% better than Boots 'N' All.
I think they need to have a player's perspective though to balance it out

| That was an excellent show. It's sedate without being tedious and allowed each person plenty of time to get their opinions across and make some very interesting points. It was also good to have different people than the usual Sky crowd. It wouldn't be as good if it was Cullen, McRae and Stevo and hosting by Eddie Hemmings. They got the personnel right although the idea of having a current player on the show is a good one.
It's very good for covering the stories that aren't necessarily linked to the games or things about the games that can't be covered on a highlights show.
I watched Super League full time though and I was a little disappointed, mostly with John Kear, who just seems to attempt to commentate on clips he doesn't appear to have seen before and just seems to end up rambling. He was better this week but I think that show needs a bit more work.

| I thought Stevo was fine in this sort of format. There's room for one blustery motormouth when he's on a panel of four with three sober talkers. The difference is he didn't have Eddie goading him along, spouting ignorance to get a rise, with the two of them getting sidetracked and confusing each other in ever decreasing circles. Hence he was more "Mike Stevenson" and less "Stevo", and Mike Stevenson is actually often worth listening to about the game.
It confirmed my belief that the main problem with Sky's matchday team is Eddie.

| Its time to bin Stevo, this has become apparent to eveyone now. He's stuck in 1965 and listening to him talk is like a broken record.
"Its the greatest game"
"They need to utilise the dummy runners"
He has no iea about the modern game of RL, when he does his little 5 minute bit on Sky sports news I cringe to even think what fans of other sports think of this cringeworthy bald old man rambling on about why everyone in the UK should watch Rugby League, I appreciate his passion butits very dated and, well, a bit boring.

| Some great matters raised again in the programme.
Interesting that Neville Smith reckons a VR at every game would cost £650k a season. With the RFL making £27m profit, is this not affordable? I'd have thought so! The big screen would not be needed but would be good if affordable. Surely something that needs to be looked into.
Andy Wilson says Wigan have other priorities other than Ellis such as a half back and/or centre. With Mellor and Powell around plus Goulding, Gelling and Hughes would we be in the market for either of these positions.
The "Back Chat" is a great addition for us.

Unlikely. Turnover might be £27m (it was just short of £23m in 2010) but they are only making a marginal profit.

I raised this point on the Rumours thread. It completely depends on whether the players mentioned are given game time and how they do. Hopefully Gelling gets a shot in the centres this week and Mellor (or Powell) start at halfback. Let's get an idea of where these lads are at because if they're ready then we might not need a Scott Dureau to replace Tommy Leuluai in which case we could put ourselves in the mix for someone like Ellis.
A lot depends on whether Brett Finch stays at the club. I sincerely hope he does.
As for the show - absolutely fantastic. Really enjoyed the first two episodes so far. Fast-paced, interesting debates about topics that aren't just about what happened this week in Rugby League. I do love the idea of having a current/ex RL player as part of the show. So far so good though.

Another excellent show.
I found it rather amusing seeing Stevo getting put down on everything he said. He does talk some utter rubbish at times and them three made sure he knew it.

| Excellent again.
Surely this has to go to SKY's Sports Channels and either be incorporated in or replace Boots n All!

I couldnt agree more. Boots n All just seems to go from bad to worse and the initial Phil Clarke segment is as boring as you could get. It is a complete waste of a hour and does the sport no favours.
The Full Time show and Back Chat are the 2 best RL shows that Sky have done. They have done the game the world of good and portray a much better, and more professional, image of Rugby League. If only Boots n All could be raised to the same standard.

Yep, and one gets shifted around between 9-11pm on a Sunday night and the other is only available online whilst the worst of the lot gets a regular 6pm slot on a Weds plus mutiple repeats.
Also on this, I thought it was pretty stupid the other week when SLFT started at 9.30 at the exact same time Offiah does his review segment on SSN.

| It's nice to see Stevo not having the last word on things. I was chuffed when Dave Hadfield disagreed when Stevo stated that shoulder charges should be banned, especially when he says 'simple' after every statement to try and belittle the opinion of anyone else. Our game is becoming one-dimensional enough without perfectly decent and below the neck big hits being banned.
Very well presented program, the subjects are well covered without being waffled over like a bad decision in a Sky game. I'll be sending a letter in the hope it will be televised as it's by far the best rugby league program I have seen on British television.

Just far too good for the 'net only.
Good for Rod Studd, can run the show well and be firm yet very amusing.

| It's the best rugby league show I've seen for a long while. Nothing too fancy, just a group of people who know a lot about the game discussing issues and giving some different opinions. Sometimes less is more.

Next week Phil Clarke will be on and introducing the talk-ometer. When presenters get into a debate Phil will check pauses, hesitance the use of phrases such as "you know", "for mine!" "rugby league football"
enter the data into the talk-ometer and determine who has won the argument. They will also get an update on nappy changing facilities in all SL grounds.
