Why does no one think we'll be televised its a local derby with a decent ish crowd Saturday afternoon on BBC 2 why not its a win win with at least a chance of an upset.

Because HKR V Saints is the game that the BBC will chose. I think SKY will go for Leeds v Cas.

P.S. Looking forward to the game, expect Leigh to get tatered. However we're going to sing our hearts out and hope for a credible performance.

Speaking for me personally the following reasons suggest that our game will not be considered.

1)Because last season SKY turned down the chance of showing the Leigh v Leeds QF after it was 4th pick out of 4. They had the rights to two QFs but declined to cover that one. Why would either broadcaster now choose to show Leigh against a top SL side away from home when they wouldn't show them at home with a last four spot up for grabs.

2) HKR beat Saints in a close game yesterday and Saints are missing the spine of their team so the same could happen again.

3) Cas have already beaten Leeds in a tight game this year and that too is a local grudge match.

4) The BBC have only previously shown interest in SL v SL ties and turned down the option of Fev v Cas last year, also a local derby but with a more realistic chance of a shock result (as was proven).

5) SKY will take a risk on potential shocks but London v Fev is much more likely to see the SL side lose than our game.

Well,well, books in Leigh now, they really have moved on these last couple of years, electricity & gas next its rumoured. Last time I was there, (missionary work, delivering food parcels) they were using knives & forks as jewellery.

If we don't stick 100 on them I'm never going again...

Let's hope the club runs with this and markets/milks it for all it's worth.

Let's face we are easy favourites to win this one BUT the higher the attendance and the more bouncing the stadium is (HAS to be a Friday night or Saturday afternoon to maximise this) the better for both clubs. It would be a MASSIVE tick for Leighs SL bid if they can draw big game atmospheres.

Probably best to avoid clashing with the tv games if they want a good crowd. A clash with a game on tv gives some people an excuse not to turn up. Whatever game the BBC choose will be on Sat afternoon so best to avoid that altogether. We do have a good marketing department and hopefully people will respond and turn up. It is our first competitive derby with Leigh for 8 years after all.

Fantastic, love a good Wigan V Leigh game, I reckon Leigh will put up a better fight against us than most teams in Super League, ill go for 54-14 Wigan win. Can't wait.
