| Well this is very promising for the future. Congratulations to Shaun Wane and the lads. Exceptional result that I did not expect.

He'd be wise to put his hand up to play in a number of positions because it will give him a greater chance of getting some games this season. He looks a fine prospect but his natural position in the back row is congested with top quality so if the lad can throw his hand up at 6 or especially imo at 9 then his prospects look alot better.
I really like the looks of him each time I see him play.

Don't think either did and with Josh Charnley wishing Pryce luck down in London on twitter it looks like the deals are done and dusted.
Top moves for both clubs and I look forward to seeing how they go. I wouldn't mind another 1 or 2 following suit(maybe O'Carroll when he's fit would be a good choice).

| Man am I glad I made the effort to go. Just a superb performance all round. Charnley and Mossop both stood out, as did our wingers. Barrow weren't great to be honest, they were a little slack and disjointed, but it was still a great effort from our lads, who I thought may get bullied, but thankfully didn't. I thought our pace compared with Barrows was also a significant reason why we won. No qualms from me in regards to Charnley filling in for Pat, he'll do a fine job.
I'm just really, really proud of the the players effort's today. It's been a long day but well worth it.

i was at the game updating on my mobile . great result for the boys . decent turn out from our fans and barrow fans. The flags looked great. We had a bad 25 mins in the second half but managed to hang on .

| I had the biggest beaming smile on my face driving home from the game, partly because it was such a great effort from Wigan, but also because it was against a Schofield coached Barrow side.

I and everyone else did our best.
The only problem was, I found the toilet brushes very difficult to throw today seeing as they have no real weight to them.

I thought Mossop was good, particularly when he played for so long uninterrupted. One of the backrowers stood out a great deal as did our wingers. But for me it would Charnley, surely a certainty to cover for Pat and push anyone of our backline for a spot.

His pre season form in training seems to have convinced Maguire to keep him ahead of Pryce but I still think they see Marsh ahead of him tbh. The fact that Charnley played today and not Marsh would say to me Marsh is more likely to get a game at Wire next week and then going into the fully blown competative games.
The bits i've seen of Charnley and Marsh games i'd have Charnley quite a way ahead in terms of potential but Maguire and Wane see these guys everyday in training. I went to a sportsmans dinner at Haigh Hall last year and Maguire and Wane were the guests and they both thought the world of Steffan Marsh. To be fair i'm more then happy to trust their judgments.

I didn't attend Salford last week so I'm going off what I saw from Roberts at the back end of 2010. But Charnley was very, very good today.

Marsh has always looked tentative to me. Where as Charnley appears more assured and confident in himself. Going off today Charnley will be a superb centre for us, he's deceptively strong and that coupled with his speed makes him dangerous. I'd have no qualms about him filling in for anyone of the back four, he'd do a great job. It's certainly very important that if we do plan on having him replace Carmont, that he get's a fair amount of game time at centre this year.
