If our attack is as it has been these last 3 weeks, i'll be even more confident.

Will be a good game, if we can get back to our better form we should just edge it. But talk is cheap, it is all about what goes on on the pitch.

I have a really bad feeling its going to rain only 2 places worse than Wakefield when its raining and thats Leeds and Bradford

When we drew Wakefield, I said we'd win one and lose the other but didn't know in which order.

However based off Saturday's performances from both sides, you'd expect us to win...But inconsistancy is a massive problem with us.

I haven't a clue how the game will go.

We had the same problem last season, as soon as the CC came around our league form fell apart and in all honesty our cup performances weren't up to much, I would be happy to win this one just to get the side winning again, but TBH I wouldn't be heartbroken if we lost because that might just focus the players minds on finishing as high up the league table as possible, and as things are going four league points could be the difference between finishing in the top four and outside the play offs. I have to say that on current form I can't see where we can beat you, but then that is usually when our lot pull something out of the bag.

Wakefield always score lots of points on their patch.
Wigan have averaged over 40 in the last 3 games.
The score could be very similar to the League game, hopefully in Wigan's favour.

im not so sure, we are the form side but kear and the challenge cup have a habit of going well together regardless of form. i am nervous and very worried. hopefully the whole brough signing for huddersfield ( alledgedly) may distract the team

would be typical of wigan to lose tbh....

When we played Wakefield they could not dominate our forwards enough to lay a platform for their halfbacks. Although our discipline did give them the opportunities to attack our line but each time they failed to execute. An issue I believe with the performance against Bradford. That scoreline would not have been half as close had Wigan had been as disciplined in both defense and ball in hand. We were very good against Saints who although they had an off day Wigan were still very good. We were much more disciplined and very creative with ball in hand and took our chances - which you have to do against a side like Saints.

I hope this is the start of a turnaround. Before the Saints game I was less confident due to the matches being against Celtic Crusaders at home and Wakefield Wildcats. Saints was a tough game and we passed that test but one swallow does not make a summer. As cruncher mentioned we cannot just rest on our laurels now we must take the next step and remain consistent. I cannot think of a time in Noble's reign apart from the 2006 season that we had a run of four consecutive victories. Make no mistake about it - Wakefield now is a massive game but one we should win.

We are underdogs and thats the way JK will like it.

Can't see us beating you TBH but its the cup and JK will use the underdog card.

Truely awful player whilst at Wigan but to be fair to him he's been ok when i've seen him at Wakey.

A player who has come on leaps and bonds since leaving here is Wilkes. Very impressive when i've seen him recently.

A Bibey special, sod the Moore try it will be better than that.

Wilkes can have my forward player of the season vote right now, he just gets better and better, honest and hard working.

Bibbey whas playing the best rugby of his career before he got injured, but i doubt he'll play tommorow.

Wilkes is quality and is in fantastic form at the moment. That run against Brad brought back memories of Korkis run against Hull in play offs

Regards Wilkes his ball retention has always been a problem, it has improved this year and he is going well. Mentally he is as good as they come. Would run through a brick wall if you asked him to. Very good pro, but were I an opposition coach i would target him when he carries the ball as i still think he is prone to making an unforced error due to the way he holds the ball on contact.

Was going to post that, but this season he seems to have sorted that problem. It tends to be a loss of concentration sometimes and can be when we are in a good position to pile on the pressure.

He always gives 110% though.
