I dont think hull will break the record as their capicity stands today as their sell out crowd against hull kr was just short of 24k yet when hull city was in prem they had crowds over that figure.

I agree with you.
Also, if people are not including places like Ince, Abram, etc as part of Wigan, then Parr, Sutton, Eccleston, Rainford, etc should be taken out of St Helens' numbers as they are also the burbs and districts of St Helens borough, just as Ince, Abram, etc, are of Wigan borough. |

Nobodies taking Ince/Abram etc out of the figures! Only Leighth areas like Tyldesley/Atherton/Astley etc as Leigh are another RL CLUB in our Borough! 
Either way you can't draw lines and say there are "X" amount who live there as per what someone else said earlier where would you draw the line?

i thought saints were due to move in the stadium for the start of nxt season, were they going to play and why not continue to play at knowsley road untill the new stadium is ready. |

Wigan also has a top flight football team and... well.... Leigh. I'm sure that affects our attendances.
Lets be honest though in relation to success rather than population, saints attendances are dire.

Until Saints are in a new stadium, we're never going to be able to maximise our attendances. Hull get great crowds in a nice new stadium - what were their averages at the Boulevard? Or Wire at Wilderspool?
I'm looking forward to seeing how many more fans will come through the gates at Halo Park.  |
