Noble can not possibly polish a turd. He has players who are off taking drugs. Coupled to this there is a big drinking culture at the club. Moreover, he has to walk given the chairmen had publicly offered his job to someone else.

Kearney is only going to make the sort of U-turn you suggest if IL has gone back and offered him a shed-load more money, and experience thus far suggests that this won't happen.

We can watch this space all we want, but I find it very difficult indeed to believe that Kearney will be coming now.

If Noble goes, most likely we'll be appointing an interim coach.

I suspect it's the last option. As much as I would have wanted Noble to stay with other coaches around him it could be the best thing all around to change the culture at this club.

All this fuss over Wane, I understand why short term its not a bad idea, I dont see why people are desperate for him to take over.

We need someone from outside to come in and change the culture and build on Noble's good work.

Sounding people out in business and doing what is being suggested here are two completely different things.

You are drawing a parallel that isn't there. Here we have the situation where, as I said, you are suggesting Kearney was sounded out about the head coach job here based on what results Noble may achieve.

In any case you are assuming all he did was sound him out which again if you adopt the common sense approach clearly isn't what happened. It is blindingly obvious he actually offered him the job to all but the most pedantic. You do not "decide not to enter into contract negotiations" unless you were asked to enter into them in the first place.



You only need to finish the imagined discussion to see how implausible your suggestion is.

It's just not on. IL should have decided if Noble is going to be here next season by now regardless of future results and I believe he has. I believe based on the comments in the media that Kearney was offered the job. All the evidence points in that direction and there is none to suggest otherwise.

Saying where you privy to the conversatiuons, do you know for certain or whatever is the same sort of argument as "do you watch the reserves" when passing an opinion on Ainscough or whoever i.e. it ignores the evidence.

On the balance of evidence i.e. what has been in the media it is reasonable to conclude Kearney wasn't just sounded out but actually offered the job.

Seeing as how you, and the rest of the little troop that's posted similar, always take these kind of punts/guesses which always turn out to be false; why do you continue to do it?

I can't see it being a good move short term either, but if the rumours are true we may have no other option.

We seem to have long term and deep rooted culture problems that haven't been fixed by a change of club ownership and numerous changes in coaching and playing staff.

Seems to me like some of the 'constants' at the club could be part of whatever our 'culture problem' is. So, if the rumours are indeed true and Nobby has gone we then replace him as head of our esteemed club with probably one of the club's longest serving 'constants'?

So are we saying Noble has actually gone or are you in fact leading me up a path that will ultimately lead to a massive disapointment when he is sat in the stands calling the shots for us at Hull KR?!

I think the general opinion is that Wane is not tarred with the same brush as the other suspects. The number of posts on here about how well the junior sides play and how well he is respected by the junior players suggests to me he isn't part of the problem.

I am not suggesting he be coach long term but I think you are being a bit harsh to dismiss him from a short term appointment because he is also part of the problem.

I really hope this to be true, no disrespect to the man he has off the field been part of a very important time for Wigan regards putting systems in place, but has failed on the coaching front.
