Understandably so he wants his future sorting out, if he wants a deal now then no chance, we must win and play well over the next month to even consider it, and i would say looking at the fixtures it will be another month after that before we really know if he deserves it or not.

He only wants it sorted now because he knows as soon as you bow out of the cup he's got no chance.
