Their could be any number of reasons why nothing has been announced yet.

It could be Noble is staying or he might not want it announced publicly yet as things have not yet been finalized into what position he will be at the club he is going to.

It could be the new coach has not yet given notice that he will be leaving the club he is at.

It could be visa problems with the new coach or a player he wants to bring with him and the club do not want to be made look a fool as was the case on some occasions when Uncle Mo was dealing with things.

It could be that the new coach is at a super league club who are still in the playoffs and nothing will be announced until his team is out of the playoffs.

It could be we have no new coach as of yet and I.L. is trying to persuade Noble to stay.

Or the 200/1 shot is it could be at the end of the season I.L. will announce he has sold the club and the new owners and coach will be announced at the same time.

I am sure something will be announced at the end of the season but which one of the above i do not know or it could be something completely different.

So far the only counter argument has been "Daveo wants to know so he can buy his season ticket" when I believe he has an automatic renewal anyway!!!!!!!
Even so he can wait if he wants to and not buy it until he is happy with who the new coach is going to be or if Noble gets an extension to his deal. Hardly compelling evidence for coming out with a statement now!!!!!!

But then again the ones who don't want to know will probably tell the ones who do want to know who will tell everyone else and you know how it is everyone else will get the story wrong and there'll be confusion and then everyone will probably think it wasn't worthwhile telling anyone anything in the first place!

Suppose the new coach is am assistant coach in Australia whose team is still in the play offs. Would he automatically get a work permit to be head coach in England?

Would Noble stay on one more year, knowing that his new "assistant" would be taking over at the end of next season.

All possibilities and all the more reason not to disclose anything until all is finalised at the end of the season(s).

There are just to many permutations to go into but one thing for sure Brian when its all done and dusted it will be announced. And i was going to say all will be happy but more likely 50% will be happy the others will be calling for his head within weeks.

Why do you always take this tough guy stand... There may be too many things to be considered here... its quite probable that not all is as black and white as you seem to think.... But thats life... Many teams change coach midseason or during a close season... Should they all be calling you first to see if its ok?? If people don't want to renew tickets thats their choice... And if the management of the club don't want to make an anouncement to appease you, do they not have the same right?

Dont give a flying fook when IL makes a announcment about the coaching situation. today or the end of the season

If somene knows the true facts by all means PM me and tell..But i have got more thinks to worry about than lack of announcments coming from the club

I was actually taking the p!ss but it seems like you're not the only one that might need things signposting otherwise it might go over your head.

It's not the first time where having expressed an opinion your only argument back is accusing me of wanting the club to test thing out with me first. I've obviously never indicated that but it seems it's the only way you can deal with things that don't agree with your opinion.

The only thing i would like the club to do is expand the coaching staff and have a Head Coach and 3 assistants 1 defensive 1 attacking and 1 kicking coach the have 2 fitness and conditioning coaches.
As the above positions are not covered with the cap i feel its one area we can expand on to improve our game
Then 2 Reserves coaches and 2 academy coaches and 2 looking after the youth.


And to the good of the National side we should have Super league the top comp
Then a first grade game for all Super League sides

Then a 12 team National League 1 and a 12 league National league and maybe a National league 3 comp.

No, I just don't, like a lot of other people, don't see what detriment it is having other than it's just something else for the IL Bashers and Rumour Whores to have a go at and this sometimes paints a negativity on the club when there is no need for it to be there! At ANY OTHER Club this Non- News would be just that, NON-NEWS!
At Wigan it is nigh on a crimial offence!

He is immune from criticism. He can do no wrong at all, anyone who suggests he can or has is no fan of Wigan RL and clearly a DW apologist.

And what if he had announced it and we don't win our next couple of games/get knocked out in the 1st round of the Play offs and then everyone get's on his back and says he upset the Applecart at the wrong time of the season!

No-one is saying he is doing everything right, he is immune etc etc

I think there's just a few people who are realistic enough to know that whatever he does he will be criticised from some quarters for his decision.

He doesn't tell people and a lot of people whinge and have a moan! They then Blame IL

He does tell people and others criticise him for upsetting the club at the wrong time! They then blame IL

Those who don't see a problem if he does or he doesn't and can actually understand that there MAY be reason why it hasn't been announced will let whatever be, be! And understand that there's no reason to blame IL !!!!!!

I, and I suspect a few others, can actually grasp that and don't see a problem with this Non-News story!
Those who actually think it's a News story that there is No-News are entitiled to that opinion, but when confronted there doesn't seem to be a great deal of evidence to support "WHY" it is so wrong in not announcing any news?????

I, as one who thinks IL needs to not tell us anything - (because there is nothing he can tell us at the moment or he probably would have) am finding some of the comments on here getting to the point of madness.

I would say this to the likes of AJ - I am not a protector of IL, but like Jukesay I believe people are bashing IL for being professional and doing nothing wrong.

People seem to think because he has told us nothing then he is mismanaging the club and fans. No - he is staying quiet on something because he has to.

What are the IL bashers bashing him about? Not telling us something? Do you for a minute really think he has the ability to tell who the new coach is and he is sitting there thinking, naaa I'll leave them hanging and risk a drop in season tickets.

The man is a fan of this club as well as chairman and is also a self made millionaire, do you really think he would therefore not have the club and fans at heart and for that matter the buisiness sense to realise the best time to tell everyone?

Come on get a grip.

I bet he has a coach but he has had to sign a nondisclosure until his current employer is happy for this to be released.

I don't care who it is or when it's announced as long as it's Michael McGuire. I still go along with the theory that by Lenegan divulging who will be our coach next year it could distract the players from focusing on the play-off's.
