Reading the Wigan preview in League Express it would seem that Wane is content with his squad at the present time with no serious injuries to report.

Sounds like we will be in a position to bring someone in during the season though should we need to do.

On another note its interesting that Gaskell is still down way down the pecking order at Saints and he is someone Wigan will have one eye on imo.

I dont think he will be in a full strength 17. From speaking to him he has been told that if he proves himself to the new coach he will have a future.

Ball is in Gaskell's court

As bazdev says, Nathan Brown will give him a chance. He had a meeting with Nathan at the end of last season to discuss where he stands and was told that he has got just as much a chance as anybody else.

Brown doesn't see Lance as a 6 so I would think Gaskell will be preferred over Lance. Wheeler is still an option too though and on his day is probably the most talented half at Saints but as we've seen he is very injury prone. Gaskell was almost ready to leave Saints due to his involvement in 2012 but NB talked him round so he obviously sees something in him.

When is Gaskell's contract up?

It'll be interesting to see what he decides to do if he isn't playing regular at the end of 2013.

Off the top of my head I think it's the end of this coming season. If he isn't playing as regular as he would like I can see him looking elsewhere which is fair enough, he's got his career to look after.

I've no doubt Nathan Brown will try out Gaskell at 13 along with every other player in the squad, then buy 5 loose forwards for the year after, he loves his loose forwards.

Correct, and if original picture had been clearer there would not have been any confusion, as for the Adam Blair situation, only a date stamped picture of Blair in Australia will disprove this rumour at this moment in time

It is a well known fact that the Budgie originated in the Southern Hemisphere,especially Australia. Since they where imported into the Northern Hemisphere about 150 years ago Budgies have evolved to almost twice the size they used to be.
