I think the biggest problem with the tackle was that Coley made the tackle from the side which caught Fakir high when he was not expecting it. More careless than reckless - sending off sufficient.

does anyone think that coley deserved a red, im not saying the connection was"nt bad or anythin, but hey c"mon iv seen far worse tackles than that one and i never seen a yellow let alone a red, and what match ban r we looking at,and who connected with tommy?what was done, and who stood on sams hand and what was done, like i said i dont condole what he did was right its just the red card bit i cant understand.

the ref was a little out of his depth yeah, but when you are watching the game with neutral fans like i was at homw on sunday it does my head in that when i try to comlain ro air my views about the ref or something that had gone wrong when i beleive it shouldn't have then i get called for having wigan-tinted glasses, yet they'll happily let me chirp away with the same kind of comments when i am watching teams other than my beloved wigan! grrrrrr!



to be honest, i thought a yellow would have been enough, he'd done nothing wrong all game to suggest he was on a final warning and also if i remember correctly i don't think either team had given away too many penalties for high tackles before that incident so to give a straight red to me was a little harsh and i would have said that if it was KC too!

i honestly feel that he JUST caught the top of catalans players shoulder which slightly causes coleys' arm to shudder against it \nd move upwards because of the momentum (in slow motion and in HD!!!!) and also the angle of boths players' approaches suggests that it probably couldn't have been avoided and was unintentional. yellow would have been the best punishment. otherwise wigan were on for knocking 50 past them again and i think the refs got conned.

and anyway, how can a guy the same size as coley if not bigger get cleaned out by that and be half unconscious?!?! man up!

Just got back and watched it on Sky+, it was high but what was obvious to me was that Childs went to consult his touch judge but he did no such thing the video ref Mr Bentham ( Warrington ) told him to send him off, is this a new role for the VR, I thought they were there to adjudicate on the scoring of tries. The Touchy never said a word.
I also didn't realise how we were on the wrong end of so many calls 2nd half, but hey, still won and 4 points clear, as Rads said in South Stand Bar we have got to just keep playing our own game and take the ref ( and video ref ) out of the equation.
