No his winger will score tries but he does have a habit of making the pass at the last minute. Faifili scored 25 tries in a season all from about 5-10m out.

See the above. Faifili was the ideal winger for Gleeson as he was strong and able to convert from close range.

You may of pocketed 100K but money in the bank wont win you games. At the end of the day until you sign a replacement for Gleeson then you have basically swapped Gleeson for Mathers as it stands right now. Only when you sign Gleesons replacement can you claim to be better off. Until you sign a decent centre you have weakened your team.

Not neccessarily. Is off field antics and general "did not want to play here" attitude caused more problems than he solved. Dont get me wrong, on his day, big gleese is awesome, & if you get him to apply his obvious talent on a weekly basis you will have a star on your hands. For us, most sensible fans can only applaud a coach who lets go a current GB international with the wrong attitude who clearly did want to play for our club. Good deal all round for both clubs, and TS may not sign a replacement until the close season. With no relegation, he doesnt need to rush either & he can afford to plan accordingly without panic buying.

Mathers doesnt even become part of the deal as the understanding is that Wigan let him go & we signed him on a free. New rumour has it that Reardon is about to be cut & above mathers, we have two better fullbacks on the books anyway. TS has nothing to lose with him, especially if he can regain his former leeds form. Some times, a club signing just does not work out - for a variety of unknown reasons

Gleeson has always had great footwork, and been able to create space for his winger, and hopefully we will see just what Roberts can do with some open field in front of him.
