Tbh I don't understand why after his comments about Roberts being "exceptional" at full back why he still chose to play him on the wing and go with Mathers :S
That's just asking for trouble if you ask me.
I don't think there is a single person that would want to keep Mathers. Except that 1 woman in the South Stand Bar after the game. But she clearly didn't watch the game either that or she secreetly supports Saints.

| Yeah O'Carroll and what was said in the south stand bar was that Veivers said "there were plus points to the game something about leuluai's break but his comments were met with a lot of people shouting that Mathers should be dropped but during this a squeaky elderly woman shouted "no keep mathers" she is clearly a Saints fan who pretends to be a Wigan fan coz it's cooler |

saying mathers can play rugby league is a bit of an exageration isnt it?!?!
That said i do feel he is being scape goated here a little bit....our shocking performance today wasnt down to him...and there are a number of players who don't look wigan standard at the moment. IMO Roberts (on todays showing) is not wigan standard and shouldnt be in there, and tim smith, andy coley, sean o loguhlin, gaz hock, phil baley can also be added to that list! |

not the first time hes done a dirty cynical trip as well....he could have ended halleys career with that....that was the worst one ive seen....he was running side by side...halley was getting the better of him (as expected)....and he decided to spin 180 degrees to perform some sort of karate kick...never mind a trip!!
Hopefuly the RFL will review this this week and do us a favour by banning him for 5 matches.....realistically there seems little chance of noble seing the light but at least we coud get some enforced absence out of this. |
