I honestly think we may struggle next week but if we do get through it I hope and pray we play Leeds. I would want to win that game more then any other game I can remember in an awful long time and we are more then capable of doing it.

Getting there could prove tricky though.

I think (and hope) that a lot of the negative comments about McGuire are due to post match anger and are heat of the moment.

I'm surprised by the lack of professionalism by the Leeds set up. Apparently, McClennan gobbed back at some Wigan fans outside of the ground and then there was all the on field antics from Lauitiiti, Sinfield et al. It's a sad state of affairs when a team who have had such success in recent years have to resort to cheap, unprofessional behaviour.

We lost it ourselves, shi*te kicking game when Deacs went off, stupid penalties, boring attack etc.
Theres loads of ifs and buts.
Ref was awful...for both teams, so it didn't really affect the game so much.
the only thing i'll 'moan' about is i think we could have scored at the end there had Maguire not 'cheated' as we'll put it, you can't justify that by saying any player would have done it, yes they would, but it's still illegal. I'm not happy he got injured, but nor to i feel sorry for him.
Leeds had a poor first 20 minutes or so then they showed up and blew us away really, Greg Eastwood was awesome as was Rob Burrow.
Whilst it would have been an exciting game, discipline was poor form both sides, J Tomkins showed himself up(as did Sam imo, thoughi need to watch those again) and Leeds players gobbing off.
Also people saying Richars bottled it, they were not easy kicks by any stretch of the imagination, the last one was near impossible. It may be harder but if we want to get to old trafford and are good enough then we will, we've already over achieved this year'.

That's the difference. Gamesmanship goes on all the time. Players dropping the ball an getting penalties for having the ball stolen etc. It goes on all the time. Taking players out is not gamesmanship and is pure cheating.

In the heat of a playoff, I'd probably want my defender to prevent a try, but that doesn't make it right.

You really are a disgusting little pr!ck arnt you. I have teams i dislike, pantomine villians (bailey, long, o'loughlin, etc etc) but i would never wish anybody's career over. The guy was doing what 99% of SL players would have done, and that is trying to win the game. Yes it was cheating, yes it was wrong but for feck sake to wish that a guy's career be finished get a grip!!!!

it was a taking a player off the ball in the chase, it something that maybe happens 100 times a season, it happened twice yesterday against crusaders, Hudds were punished twice for it. But we arent hearing these same accusations levelled at them because it wasnt the last minute.

Its a penalty, thats whats in the rules, it wasnt violent, it wasnt a professional foul, remove the incident from the situation and it really is a nothing incident that if it happens in the first minute rather than the last nobody mentions.

So that's Saints, Wire and Cas fans all pointing out the idiocy of this topic.

Hopefully tomorrow morning when the dust has settled you can take a look at this game as a fantastic showpiece for rugby league that Leeds won by the skin of their teeth.
