No the point i was making is that it will be sorted and the people that need to know will know.

Was just going to post this.
Sounds like Noble is 100% certain to be the new coach at Celtic(nice of him to give them a win earlier in the season ).
Thats an interesting move for him, Celtic and the sport in general. He's done a good job here imo and has got us from a rabble at the bottom of the league to in the main an organised side that competes in 99% of games. His profile will really help Celtic as will the profile of Harris after his time in Union. I think he'll do a good job there if the money is available to get better players in.

| It's national press releases like this that build pressure on IL to respond rather than the demands of a few of us saddos on here. For me, if it is to be Wane we could and should announce it now. If we have someone else lined up then IL probably has no choice but to keep quiet until that person is free of his commitments and we are out of the play offs.
Of course, the third scenario is that we could see Noble unveiled as the new Celtic coach by the Crusaders whilst we have nobody lined up to replace him. Now that would be a bit of an embarrassment.

Knock it down abit i suppose.
I went that high because how we've been this year(even in losing pathetically at Celtic and Huddersfield) has still been light years ahead of when he took over. That year the players just weren't turning up for any games and overall i do believe he's improved us quite abit.
The times right for both sides to move on though.

| I would have a wiganer coaching over an aussie beacuse the aussie wont know our style of play or our culture and wane will proberly know all our players very well so wont need time to settle in and ajust to a cold december morning on the training field.

Even if said wiganer is the best person for the job?
Familiarity breeds contempt, never been a big fan of a youth team/second in command taking over the the club they are at, seldom has success come from it, in any sport.

As soon as I typed that i thought of Mike Greg, would have been an exception to my rule, with regards, to west, many people have spoken about how the players took training when dorahey was incharge, and from reading rads book, it appeared that West allowed that to continue, not saying this is a bad thing, but i just dont like people being promoted from second in command in sports.
The failures far outweigh the success for me!

Not sure what Lowe is up to. He had serious health problems, his heart I think.
We saw what happened to Monie when he took the France job.

Those days are gone and their time has passed imo but we could do with finding a modern day version of the pair of them wheather he be Australian or British.
McGuire sounds an interesting candidate because he's meant to be very highly rated down under and is at a club that every side should aim to be like imo.
I'd be happy enough with Wane though if it meant us continuing to use our own youth. He'd be in a better position then anybody to know which ones are good enough.

Think Lowe is either an advisor to the Kiwi's or a selector.

He's only pretty young i think and has been working his way up the ladder at Melbourne from what i read.
He's been linked with 2 or 3 head coacging positions in Australia over the past couple of months so he must be in peoples thoughts(aslong as it's not his agent like you say).
It's all a game of risk though isn't it. Even if you get the worlds number 1 coach you still don't 100% for sure that things will work out. I bet the majority didn't think Millwards time at Wigan would be such a huge failure.

Because there are only so many berths for first grade coaches in the NRL, and McGuire has done pretty well to be knocking on that door for someone so young.
Two thoughts here: a) Just because you haven't heard of them, that doesn't make them poor. b) There's no point harping after someone like Wayne Bennett or Des Hasler - they aren't going to come to GB. McGuire would be the next best thing.

Agreed.
I want a Justin Morgan type coach who brings new life into a club and new methods. A coach that will have free reign on pretty much everyting from top to bottom and is involved at every level.
Another advantage of a coach like Morgan or McGuire is that they have a first hand experience of players who could be signed from the NRL. We need to make sure that any we do sign are quality and Morgan has done that for KR. He's signed players like Galea and Newton who weren't that well known over here but he knew how good they were and brought them over. They're now seen as the best 2 second rowers in the league(going off the dream team) and i bet they're contracts are reasonable due to a lack of high profile.

As I understand it he has been offered the opportunity to take on headships at a couple of NRL clubs but decided to remain with the storm to see his apprenticship and contract out, which I understand is up at the end of this season.
I still think that he will be heading to Souths mind, and lam coming to Wigan.
Interesting to see Steve Folks current job, as lead conditioning coach with the West Indies Cricket team, pulled that one out of left field somewhat!
