It's not just the seating though. It's the stewarding. How do you get the fans into their seats with the two metre rule in place, and how do you get them to leave still keeping that distance and keep them apart on the concourses?

Wonder what the chances are that we'll play our games at Robin Park, rather than the DW. Not much point having the bigger stadium if you can't have any fans inside it.

Clearing the stadium should be pretty straightforward really. Just start to slowly empty the ground from 10 mins after halftime...

If the football are also trying to play a condensed fixture list, then it may suit both parties. However I wouldn't want this to be decided unilaterally as it may be the catalyst to the stadium owners cancelling the tenancy agreement.

Doubt that’ll be financially viable for the Latics after this. If anything I can see this period strengthening our position regarding the stadium. I’m a Latics fan and these owners aren’t throwing huge money round. They seem sensible and look to have a long term plan to build a good academy and not spend money they don’t have.

As for the idea of playing at Robin Park, it seems sensible to me. The only point I’d wonder about is if they’d be worried about fans going down to try and watch games from a distance. It’s not as enclosed as the DW and the last thing the authorities would want us for 100’s of people all stood together trying to get a look at the action.

HMRC would not view a return to initial training as invalidating the conditions of the furlough scheme, as players would not be earning income or providing a service to their employers.

The clubs will be taking advantage of the furlough scheme for as long as possible, so i doubt we'll see SL back before August.

Hopefully the clubs and RFL are looking at the NRL and other sports to get some ideas. The rule changes in the NRL look ok so far, and the crowd noise they've created seemed to work far better than i thought it would.
I wonder if we'll see SL clubs bring in 'the card board cutout' scheme that some NRL clubs have.

We might get 5000 if we charge £10. Thats same as about 200 season tickets. Doesn’t sound a lot but could make a difference. Being honest I wouldn’t be d what it looked like if it generated some money which is something most clubs will be short of?

100%. There is no reason not to do something like that, even if the income generated from it isn’t huge. Why turn down an opportunity to make a few quid?! I’d say run it as a way of making money for the club, with a percentage going to the NHS or similar and I’m sure people would jump on board.
