| Probably our most challenging game yet (As most would have expected us to lose at Headingley anyway.)
It will show us if we can compete this season or if we are making up the numbers as I expect Huddersfield to be a contender this season.
The game all depends on how much field possession we can get and if we can get the ball out to Tomkins in space to create something.
We need to start trying new methods in attack as well. Against Leeds we just decided to 'give the ball to Hock' and hope it would work, it didn't. Against Salford however Wigan utilised the right wing more and used Tomkins well with Hock able to basically have a rest for a proper encounter.
Our problems lie in our defence on the right hand side however with Salford able to punch holes against us which is worrying considering they are cannon fodder this season.

Close game with Huddersfield taking it, there was nothing shown in the win over Salford that would make me feel that we can beat a hard working Huddersfield side. They have not lost away from home this season so far.

| IF our line speed is good and we slide well, we will win. It really is that simple IMO. If we give them space at first receiver, they can ship the ball out wide where they have plenty of pace, drag players out of the line to create holes etc.
When we've got the ball we must attack. When they've got the ball we must attack even harder! Attack, attack, attack!

Wigan - 16
Hudds - 30

| I think we will get beat by hudds.
About 22-12 with attendance of 14,500 if we lucky and they bring more than a taxis worth.
I dont see us beating them as i honestley think the team see them as a threat. Arrogant as that sounds, it is correct about us for some reason.
They will come play hard and basic, and our pack will look beaten again after 15mins.
In the spell where feka comes on (unless he starts) a few barnstorming runs will be cheared with much approval, but nothing much will come off the back of them. Fielden and Coley will again be beaten back in the collision, with Hock loosing his temper with someone, probably mason.
Lockers will try hard and do everything right, but due to his lack of churchillian speaches under the sticks, will be blamed for everything from
hock throwing the ball on the floor to global warming.
I know it makes depressing reading, but i still think thats how it goes. Oh plus im going this week and we i not seen them win this season, so i may be cursed! Is that lockers fault too i wonder?
However i hope im wrong, we come out with the eye of the tiger, brast their pack and show that we can play hard and fast against every team.

I must admit to a rofl there
I think its abit of a tight one, heart saying wigan my head saying huddersfield. Like Brian said above, i think if Tim Smith plays he will 100% be a target point for Huddersfield with the way like like to play. Im not prepared to make a prediction now

Oh the irony
Also think it'll be a tight game. Think it'll depend on who's right centre and whether Smith plays; Sam & Tommy / Bailey and we'll win by 10, sam & Smith / Goulding or Pryce and we'll lose by 10.

| I think Wigan will be up for this game with so many ex Wiganers playing for Huddersfield. Plus the fact that Wigan have a couple more homegrowns in their team than of late. If both teams play to their strengths then it will be close. Mind you both teams seem to play good rugby inconsistantly more-so Wigan.

| Hudds are playing well, even when they were poor v Hull the game still ended 4 tries each. Hull won due to Tickle's goalkicking.
Our pack has to match and beat theirs for us to have a chance. If they do get on top our halves will set things going.
If the Hudds pack wins so will their team.

| this could be the defining point of our season and show us where we are likely to finish. Personally I think we will win by 6-10 points IF we do not play tim smith, we cannot afford to play this turnstile against these.
My team would be
1.Richards
2. Roberts
3. Bailey
4. Carmont
5. Ainscough
6. Sam Tomkins
7. Leuluai
8. Coley
9. Riddell
10. Palea'asenia
11. Hansen
12. Tomkins
13. O'Loughlin
14. Fielden
15. Hock
16. McIllorum
17. Prescott
prediction
wigan 28-20 huddersfield
we owe them one after the embarrasing result at the jjb last year

| Quote ="Rogues Gallery"I think a few of us posted just after our victory over over Bradford that this (Huddersfield) game would be a real test to see how far we have progressed.
They are a very good (but underrated) team.
I honestly can't call it but expect it to be a really tough game for us. Huddersfield like to play the game with a lot of width and will look to "get at us" on the outside.
If Tim Smith plays there is no doubt that they will target his defence.
It should be great game to watch, I just hope the weather stays dry enough to allow both teams to play open rugby.'"
Well, let's hope he doesn't.

| If Crabtree,Mason and Griffin play like they did on Sunday you lot have no chance - they will lay the platform for Robbo and Browny to show your lot what your mssing and destroy you - seriously if our forwards play well we'll do ya
28-14 to the Giants - and be prepared to see the biggest Giants following for years at Wigan ( and i dont mean 150)

Ask the quins how well they played last weekend.
Mason might get a lot of slating but this season his workrate is absolutely outstanding and in Crabtree and Griffin we have two enormous props that can wreck any defensive line.
Its gonna be a tough game, I think Wigan will pinch it with home advantage, it all depends on if Hudds can keep the penalty count down like they did against quins, if we give you as much ball as we have to Hull and Cas there is no way we can do it.
As for quality of individual players, some of you need to come up to date.
