It might not have been, but if you go around telling people that they don't know what they're talking about and go and then do exactly the same, don't be surprised if people highlight it. Re: the terrace/seating argument if we had stayed at CP it would have been changed into a 20,000 all seater ground anyway, so we wouldn't have had terracing there either. Anyway, if you want to stand, go to the back where everyone else stands. It does happen.

As for Saints, fair play to them, its great they have a new stadium and it doesn't matter if they are in debt as long as they can pay it off and the normal working class folk of St Helens aren't being fleeced to pay it back. Hope they get big crowds cos they would be great for RL.

Rows upon rows of seats stops those who want to make atmosphere congrigating and nor do they allow the freedom to move to areas of where they would feel comfortable in adding to the atmosphere.

If the fans wanted an atmosphere then they would create one. They didn't. Fans could congregate if they wanted to, they choose not to.

The fans make the atmosphere.

Aris (a football team in Greece) play in a stadium which looks like 4 temporary stands with not a roof to be seen..... they still make an amazing atmosphere and sing for 90mins.

A good stadium does not make the atmosphere, it can encourage it..... but it doesn't make it.

when they built th nmew ground , one end behind the goal was left seat free , the 'north end' from the old ground congregate in that area and create the atmosphere , its also cheaper to stand there than sit elsewhere

So, the Wigan fans who were there couldnt create an atmosphere because Quins brought no fans. Its a viewpoint.......

we were miles ahead early on and no away fans made it a training day really, Barrow made it 4 x the atmosphere last week.

Speaking of Ultras, I'm all for the singing and atmosphere but I must of counted about 5 Celtic songs tonight, this is Wigan Rugby League. Becoming a bit of a bore ripping off the jungle bhoys IMO.

But if the fans wanted an atmopshere it could be amazing. The fans simply don't want it unless it is a big game.
