The flags are great, but when you have a logo with a skull in your sig, is it really that hard to see why it gives the impression that you're trying to be some half-ars*d firm?

I love all the flags (even as a Saints fan) but calling yourself "ultras" is lame and carries obvious and needless connotations.

The only thing I would say against the name is "Ultra what?"

St George Illawarra fans are certainly the benchmark in World Rugby League:

St George fans look quality especially at away games. Clearly everyone buys into the idea and everyone takes their own banners. Hopefully we will see banners and flags return to the south stand when people start to take their own. Back in 2000 loads of kids (inlcuding myself) used to take flags but it died out a bit.

I reckon that's partially because the club doesn't even sell them anymore.

You might be right. Would be good to get to Wembley this year I'm pretty sure loads of kids would get them outside the ground and bring them to home games.

Don't worry about all the criticism guys! It's just people being plain miserable in my eyes, there is absolutely nothing wrong with all the flags at all and I'm sure the steward in question is being a major jobsworth!

Started to bring my nephew to home games and he is really enjoying the experience. One of the things he comments on every game are the flags and the colour, he actually goes into school saying that he has seen the wigan flags on a monday morning he get's that excited! So if people moan about not being able to see the grass grow due to the flags waving that is their problem. The South Stand is unreserved and they dont need to sit behind the flags.

Since the flags where introduced the south stand definately feels more like home and I love the we are wigan flag right above the north stand! If any of you need any help with the big wavers just drop me a pm and I'll help out. We need them at home aswell as away, it shows that we are wigan!

Whens the next meeting? Hope to get to one soon when I am not working because I enjoy the beer in the Anvil! And keep up the great work in the mean time!

Cant believe some of the crap people are saying on here. You guys do an awesome job and I have seen first hand how much effort and hard work you all put in. Not to mention the fact that you are completely self funded. There's definitely some jealousy here, so I wouldn't even bother entertaining it.
