| The Baa idea is excellent.
TBH anywhere in the town centre or Robin Park would be good.
The current location is great in terms of parking, thats all.

I was thinking they could close the upper levels at night but keep the ground floor bar open. I'd go in there for pre-King Street beers at weekend if my money was going to the club.
With a museum upstairs, you could charge £2.50 adults £1 kids and probably get back a couple of grand a year easily.
Good location with people getting off trains and walking up Wallgate into town.
£40k a year, get your wallet out Mr Lenegan

Actually that's a good shout re the access, depends on stairs/disabled access but either would work. Irrespective, would like to see something like that.

| I actually think this is a belting idea - not sure about the costs - the 40K p.a. is fine but its sounds quite an expensive re-fit I still do think it could work well.
It would double as a great meeting place for those away games you can't get to that are televised too.
I've thought myself about similar plans for Saints certainly since the ground development was given the green light, for the club to have a combined themed bar / shop type outlet within easy walking distance from the town centre should work well.

| Ive been in the shop today, it was like a bomb had hit, they had obviously got a large delivery of stuff but they had just ripped open the boxes so there was clothes and boxes literally blocking off the 'corridor' section were the best bits are. I had to squeeze past 2 women sat on the floor in the middle of the mess. I just thought to myself imagine a Tesco or a proper high street shop was organised like this. I picked up a T shirt to buy but after the women pi$$ing about for so long and not looking like they could be d serving i just left it. Worst shop ive ever been in by a mile.

| The centre of town would be a prime spot.
The bar could be used for any fans forums that the club organised and so ALL money would go back to the club. The bar area itself doesn't even need to open every night and can just open at weekends and maybe Wednesday nights (decent night round Wigan) and show either the previous weeks match or a match from the past. Bit of grub on as well and you're talking a full house.

None of the floors or rooms are big enough for a FF. But yea, the rest of the idea works.

| They could even link up with Walkabout (current sponsors), buy a drink in the 'club bar' and get half price entry into Walkabout before 12pm.
Come on Ian, get it sorted

I agree, this is my beef, they have not got a clue how to run a retail outlet.
The appointment of a New Retail Manager was meant to sort this, remember this statement from the club in December?
=red[i`Paul Stanworth will be joining the club as Retail Manager in January. Paul joins the Warriors from Burnley FC where he has held the position of Head of Retail for the past 4 years. One of his first roles will be to oversee a re-fit of the club’s town centre shop, Warriors World. This will take place in mid January, around the same time as the 2009 home and away shirts will be launched. At the launch the actual date when the replica shirts go on sale will be confirmed.`[/i
So what has gone wrong and what is Paul Stanworth actually doing??

| Im interested to know where the leisure wear is that was supposed to be launched early this year from the back of the merchandise catalogue.
Or where they away kits are.
Or what the new head of retail has done.
The silence from the club sums up the answers to all these things.
For all IL bangs on about wanting the club to turn profit, his merchandise set up is pathetic.

I think the organisation and drip drip supply of shirts and merchandise is disgusting.

Its a joke. An utter joke. The management of our club (Mick Hogan & marketing boys aside) is terrible, not really sure what IL is doing tbh.
The man that should know is Head of Retail - Paul Stanworth
