The Players Player award is the one as a player you always want to win and what a suprise Sean O'Loughlin has won it. Excellent season and IMO should start 13 for England in the 4 Nations over Sinfield!!!!

It was a good little do, it would be really good if they put the films they showed on You Tube or something - the slow motion bit of Joel Tomkins with his gob wide open looking completely gormless was hilarious.

I'm not surprised Sam won both awards to be honest, I think he was by far our best player this year and then for young player it was only Flash and Mossop he was up against (I think) and I know Flash has been great but both haven't really had much game time.

Is Coley leaving you lot or is it just wishful thinking, where's he going?

George Unsworth's is well deserved.
Brian Foley has been ahead of the times with the projects he has innovated and that have been adopted by the SL and the RFL. I do hope he comes back in some capacity when well enough to do so.

I don't think you'll see too much of an improvement with that team next year - looks the same old story: good backs, not enough in the forwards IMO.

but since thats been the team for the 2nd half of the season we've arguably been the form team in the league, our reckon the second half of the season is very good and if staying with that team means winning the amount of games we have been winning then i'm happy.

The reason i want rid of noble is because of the shocking starts to the season, if we get a new coach/conditioner in hopefully we can get a decent start, because thats all it needs to be, if we're just going to pick up in the 2nd half of the season again.

We are light in the pack, but even so we've beaten most teams the 2nd half of the season.

Why do you never include Fielden in your 17's?

The young lads ie: Mossop, Flanagan and Joel Tomkins all say they have learned more from Bails than anyone.
I personally think it is a good signing, he brings good experience for the young lads and he is someone to look up to. Trent Barrett had the same effect on Sam Tomkins & Lulu.

Personally I would not have given Sam the main award last night! Yes, the Young Player of the Year by a country mile, but I feel that a few other players were more deserving of the main award: O'Loughlin, Phelps, Richards, Carmont spring to mind!
I'm not slating Sam by any means, he has been superb this season and has won us many a game that we have looked like losing! I just feel that some of the aforementioned lads were more deserving!

People say it's good to remain consistent and good continuity but of what? Average team, average season and we have finished 6th backwards from last year.

It's like saying signing up all the Celtic Crusaders players again will make a difference. But it wont they would get battered (apart from when they play us)

I actually think our forwards look weaker than last year. With Gareth Hock absent from the side.

I think we could struggle next year. When an announcement is made about the coaching situation, whoever it maybe, will have it VERY tough.

I would love to know the definition of 'too much money'. It's an excuse that has been used a lot recently which suggests you have to pay to get the players you want.

I would have thought Baileys wage, Hocks wage and Coleys wage would have covered it.

We made an offer for Carl Webb so we do have money.

It's pretty funny that we (allegedly) won't pay Tronc's wage demands yet Wakefield who (allegedly) are struggling for cash and probably aren't spending full cap will pay for him.

ocarroll and prescott should both be expected to put good stints in in the front row next year, both are very good prospects who are improving all the time, at the start of the season eamon was our best forward up until his injury. I also don't think it will be bad for the likes of davies and farrell to get a few games next year, especially if wane is coaching us.
