they have been warned that a prison sentance is what the judge has in mind.
and to quote the court transcript Reardons offence was...
"He then shoulder-barged the door, breaking the frame and the lock.
After shouting insults at his wife, Reardon grabbed her arm, causing three bruises. "
if a bloke gets sent down for kicking a door and calling his ex wife a slapper and grabbing her arm and cockyene walks free the world is seriously on its backside

But considering they are being sentenced in a domestic violence court a custodial wouldn't suprised me in the slightest. If she hadn't been his ex wife it wouldn't have happened. |

Thats shocking.
Ive always been told by my Dad, if you ever fight with someone use your fists and your fists only as kicking is a cowards way out, especially from behind or when the other person is on the floor.
However he also said he doesnt condone fighting before anyone gets that idea, but I hope you get what I mean from that.
Disgraceful from Ben Cockyane (sp) - deserves sacking for that.

with regards to cockayne & with due respect to hkr, they have stated that an internal investigation is underway as did the rfl and on the completion of this investigation then they will decide what action(s) to take
with the rfl on his case, cockayne could be looking at a hefty suspension or being sacked or even both
with the pryce and reardon cases, the clubs would have to see what action the courts will take before acting themselves
in all cases the playrers should be punished by their clubs and by the rfl as they are in the public domain so to speak and therefore could be considered role models and this would make the game of rugby league look bad if these incidents are allowed to go unpunished by both parties
after all an army soldier who who is found guilty of any offence under civilian law is also severely punshed by the army, are they not  |
