It's a proper double whammy for supporters wanting to go to games that! As if Thirsday nights weren't bad enough you've now got to get to Hull on a Friday night so there's enough rest time in between (which I agree there has to be).

No wonder crowds are dying on their backside! I'm going to both because they've tempted me to make the effort with cheap tickets but even that's worrying. Is the TV deal good enough to subsidise these cheap tickets in a regular basis? I doubt it.

I'd like to get to more games, but I seem to find fewer and fewer that are feasible. I'm booked in for our rare Saturday fixture in the Cup, and that's about it for June.

I think the clubs are regretting this TV deal. It must be harming Wigan badly because I know quote a few who are now struggling to attend games. My friend wants to bring her nephew to a match but the options in an afternoon both home and away are almost non existent.

I used to struggle getting back for the Friday home games on time, even when i lived in Cheshire!
So now in South Wales? Complete & utter non-starter.
Sky / Wish FM is the only option these days.
As a long-time season ticket holder, the move away from weekend matches has been a real attendance killer for me - and i suspect many others as well.
Properly not good for the sport.

I suppose Friday night games do disenfranchise those who live miles away. Thursdays & Mondays are the real issue with work or school the day after. But the 12-14k who trot up regardless are the only ones the club is really bothered about. It's a good 2 hour trek by road from the east coast, but the 'ulls send a decent number over (what Hudd's excuse is I still can't work out) and the wendyballers have to put up with much worse.
Paradoxically, with the pathetic deal the RFL did with Sky, it's even more galling that they are allowed to mess us about and dictate game time in the way they do, but aside from having a whinge about it every other week there's bgr-all we can do.

SCRAPED another last minute win. I've never known a season where we've won so many last minute and close games and played horrendously.

Surely it's a good sign that we're taking the 2 points in these games? I'm hoping we're saving our best rugby for the 8's/playoffs like 2013.

Definitely in a game like tonight with Sarge dropping out late and tough conditions up in East Hull but I'd hope that we could go at 70% and beat HKR with a try or two to spare (with no disrespect) rather than saving ourselves for the middle 8s and scrapping for last minute wins.

We really need to finish top 2 as I wouldn't be confident going to either Hull, Warrington or Catalan in a knock out so all games now are important not just when we enter the middle 8s.

Hopefully Catalan will beat Saints tomorrow and pretty much settle the top 4!

Horribly scrappy from both sides, in admittedly bad conditions, but a great result!

I think we're definitely due to give someone a smashing, no idea when that will be though as we've got Widnes away next week and I think that will be a similar affair to the last games, then Cas in the cup and Catalans away.
I'm just happy we're still keeping pace with Hull and Wire because I can see it being a repeat of last year in Perpignan. Just to clarify as well, I don't think we're actually holding back to save ourselves for the 8's, I just meant hopefully we peak at the right time



I agree about the top two, even though our away form is much improved from last year, a home play-off is always preferential.

Only 2 away defeats all season, a loss to an in form Wolfs and the freak Wakefield game. I agree we are due to smash someone, really hope it's Cas in the cup.

I could only listen the pretty awful Radio Humberside coverage, and by all accounts it wasn't pretty, but at least, seeing the scores on Wigan TV, there was a bit of class about those last couple of tries. We're going to need all of that.
