| Playing really really well, this lad is obviously enjoying his rugby this season. How many times did he take the ball in? It's like having a brand new signing really to add to Deacon!

| He looks a different player. I never have and never will subscribe to this notion it takes an experienced player like him a year to settle in. Something has changed to make his performances so far this season like chalk and cheese compared to last and to me its obvious what that is

| He's playing how he did in the NRL now.
I think (if they play like they did tonight) Wigan could have both of the 2010 dream team wingers.

| Outstanding again to back up his 2 preformences against Crusaders and Wire in the friendly.
He just looks like a new man. He showed flashes last year of the talent he had but his mind just seemed to be elsewhere at times and his made alot of basic errors. He wa electric last night and on that form there can't be a more exciting wingman in the league.
Looks like he'll be at fullback next week. Who we thinking for the right wing spot? Pryce, Goulding or Ainscough?

Got to be Ainscough, just make sure he's on the opposite side to King.

I wouldn't be against us shifting Richards over to that right wing to come up against King with Ainscough on the left but doubt Maguire will go that way.
The easiest way may just be to put Richards in at fullback so we can leave Roberts on that right side and bring Ainscough in one the left to play against Reilly. We also have the options of Pryce or Goulding(who did well on the wing for Salford) so at least we've got the cover.
I'd expect whoever does come in to be choming at the bit.

| If Phelps is out which looks likely I would think MM will want an experienced player at full back (Amos) and will put Goulding to wing. However, I would personally like to see Ainscough back.

| Whether it is ainscough or roberts on kings wing they both struggle with high balls when defending our line although at least roberts makes an attempt for them. I would be inclined to start with Pryce and drop roberts to fullback.

| I don't see Maguire playing Ainscough so soon after starting up his dual contract - I think he wants to see how he gets on at Widnes before considering him for our 17.
Personally I feel Pryce is the more likely bet.

I think Richards is the only winger tall enough to nullify King's threat, if they nullified each other I'd be happy

| Why not just replace a full back with a full back and bring Vievers into the side and leave Roberts were he is .

Vievers will more than likely get a chance whilst phelps is out but i don't think it will be against wire.

Because he isn't good enough and won't ever be.
A national league player in all likelihood, might scrape a place in a low-placed SL side.

It's an option thats for sure and would cause the lease disruption to the partnerships players are building up.
I'm looking forward to watching whoever gets the shot.

Its a massive game next week and not the time to blood a rookie at full back. Its got to be Amos or Richards.

Dave, the point is you [urefuse[/u to subscribe to this viewpoint despite there being numerous examples of this being the case. For some reason you expect all players to be the same and point to players who didn't need time to settle in as a reason why [uno-one[/u should. That's just plain ridiculous.
King, Roberts, Richards, Smith, Lam (I could go on of course) are all examples of players who were [umuch[/u better in their second season than their first. Roberts, himself, gave a good interview as to why he didn't perform as well as he should have last year and the upheaval of coming half way round the world and not properly settling until his family arrived featured very strongly.

| A real athlete is Roberts and I expect him to be in the Dream Team come the end of the year and also somewhere near the top of the try scoring charts assuming he stays injury free.
Next week for me I am happy for him to move to fullback should it be required with Ainscough coming onto the wing. If a centre gets a knock step forward Karl Pryce but should a Wingman or fullback go down I think Ainscough earned the right to be the first replacement last year.

| I really wanted him to do well last year and we saw flashes of what I thought he should be like but as others have said he is a different player this year - not the first time it has happened Pat Richards and Craig Smith spring readily to mind in that area but delighted for us and for Amos and he will just get better as it warms up. Well done Amos
