For all those who are driving up for the day, there is NO parking at the stadium. That includes parking for minibuses and coaches.

Anybody any ideas if theres any pubs/bars near the stadium or would it be worth parking up in the centre for abit before we get to the stadium?

Didn't get chance to pay much attention when we went in 2002 because the coach only arrived 45 minutes before kick off.

It'll only take about 1/2 an hour to walk to the ground from Weatherspoons, its less than 2 mile away. With pubs lining the way all along Haymarket.

Not wrong there with the farce or good day points! Pretty sure we didn't even pick up any Wigan fans in York either! Hit the road that day from JJB, went the long way to the Motorway, stopped in York, set off to Edinburgh, didn't hit any delays until the city and we still only got to the car park with 45 minutes to spare. Could have been trouble had we been delayed, that's for sure!

Is the parking ok around the centre?

If it is we'll proabably leave the car there and walk it down then.

I heard that you cant take food into the ground which is bad if you got kids and dont want to get ripped off inside.

From the stadium website, it does not say you cant...

But do they not know there is a massive credit crunch or is the food free, does it say you have to pay ?

We picked about 5 people up in York iirc which made it even worse!

If they'd have asked us all on the coach we'd have probably chipped in for a taxi for them to save us the hassle



I rememeber there being about 4 or 5 coaches leaving from the same firm and we were the coach that drew the short straw of picking up the Yorkies!

Iv just read the regs it basically says you can bring pop but you cant bring food.

If you look on the RFL or SL website there is a Q and A. The one on the Murrayfield site is just the bog standard one they have for Rah Rah internationals. It also says that tickets aren't available on the day, when in fact they are.

I got apprehended taking some Vimto in last time at Cardiff.

Easy walk from the city centre/Haymarket to the ground, no more than 25 minutes I'd say. Plenty of refreshments on route

Pub on ther corner of gorgie road and Glasgow rd by Haymarket station pal, nice pub with sky sports and its 15mins max walk to murrayfield. Hope to see ye there buddy
