Higham wasn't so much poor in the 2nd half v Catalans he was absolutely dreadful. Repeat performance last night.

he starts off ok, then in 2nd half goes rapidly downhill cos hes knackered.

Agreed, I too have watched all 3 games on Sky and thought that we was particularly poor in the Cats game and not much cop in the Wakey game. On the other hand, Brad Drew played a blinder and gave a lesson in the hooking role, especially given he was playing the full match given the injuries they've picked up.

Lowes isn't doing him any favours by playing him for the full 80. He's error prone when fresh - when he's knackered it's even worse. A lot of his mistakes were after the 60 minute mark. A decent coach would have had him subbed by then.

i feel a bit sorry for lowes. his star player aren't performing, a bit like a wigan. briers and monaghan have been none existent, King is starved of any decent ball and apart from louis anderson the forwards dont seem to make much progress. a very under achieving side very much like ourselves. one thing i didn't realise, according to sky sports hicks is 15st 10, never thought he was anywhere nrea that sort of size !!!!!

That is absolutely right. Higham just doesn't know how to pace himself. He works himself into the ground, and once he is fatigued, that's when his mistakes come in. Hopefully when Clarke is fit it will take some of the pressure off him, but from what I have seen of him so far, I have been very happy with his signing. The worry for me is that Lowes said before the start of the season that he won't have a 9 on the bench, but then again the bloke is absolutely clueless anyway.

Jonh - Higham gives on average 1 penalty per match. Now that stat is too high, but for the amount of work he does, I will live with that.
