Yes we should have won - no coincidence that Pat and Lockers made crucial errors that would have sealed the game for Wigan. But it may well have come down to the absence of a 4th prop which was causing the lack of go forward and which then led to more pressure on our tiring defence, handling errors etc.

When Fielden, Coley and Hock return - hopefully all fairly soon, the platform established by our much more solid pack will start to bear fruit, just in time for the CC Q/F!

We ran out of juice in the last quarter because of backing up from Friday and the weather conditions.

Still no excuse though. Missed chances in the 2nd half and a huge drop in intensity cost us that game. It's not the first time it's happened this year either and we had no exiles game excuse ready then.

I can't remember ever arguing against that, 22-4 at half time, but when those decisions go like that its frustrating. Also apparently Goulding held up another one which was given.

First half we played the conditions well and Cas didn't. Second half we started ok, but Pat's knock on with the line at his mercy plus our inability to grab any point what so ever. All that together spurred Cas on IMO. They improved and we just tired dramatically in the final 25. And not just the players who were backing up either.

I think Madge has made a mistake by not rotating his squad this season. We've played our best team in every game, even against poor sides. And were now paying the price for that.

Being critical McIlorum shouldn't have played today he was shattered. Crosby should have played also, not because we lacked go forward, but because other forwards such as Tuson and Farrel look to be tiring also.

I'm worried because nearly everyone had concrete boots on today by the end of the match, and with the fixtures we have coming up I think were close to running out of gas.

Not too disheartened about it to be honest, just gutted about the missed chances. It wasnt a bad performance, especially the first half. Just Cas wanted it more in the 2nd half.

Didnt agree with the treatment of Mathers from our fans, as soon as he came back on I knew he would score a decisive try and it serves all the kn0bs right, especially the way everyones been so up in arms about the treatment of Tomkins on friday.
