Not sure about Hoffman in terms of whether we need him but he is quality. Chuffed with Lima.

We’ve all seen speculation before regarding players but very rarely do these rumours seem so definite with contract length and separate sources matching up with sources closer to home.

The last time I saw a rumour like this it was before we signed Amos. Even then IL didn’t confirm it till a much later.

Hoffman and Lima are both quality players and I'm made up, we need to sort out a hooker and a halfback for next year asap.

If IL manages to get Slater or Inglis on a year long loan then I will do naked cartwheels all the way to Melbourne and back

Got to say this is very exciting news, think we've go the go forward we've been craving fo rthe last few years.

No one can argue that this season has been immense in terms of our packs displays but feel that these two players may well add that touch of class we've been missing since Fletcher left.

If we can sign Finch we may just be untouchable next season!

If Lima and Hoffman join and Feka and Bailey leave then that improves the team immensely. Feka and Bailey wouldnt even be in my first choice 17. In contrast Hoffman adds a lot to the starting 13 and Lima offers more than Feka from the bench. We need to strengthen the pack and this certainly does that, although I would still like to see an enforcer at prop.

Just a thought, but could the signing of Hoffman see Joel moving into the Centres to replace Carmont?

That would be Jeff Lima.

He’s certainly not a guy you mess with. In fact if we sign Hoffman, Lima & Hock to go along side our current group not many teams will be even to hold a candle to us never mind try intimidating us.

Wane must be licking him lips at this moment in time.

I honestly can’t wait for the derby game next season Perry, Pauleta, Soliola & Graham lining up against our Lima, Hoffman, Joel and Fielden. Quite evenly matched until we bring Hock into the mix

The more I think about it I am chuffed with these signings.

Hoffman is a much better player than Bailey so as a straight swap its a great move! We still need experience in the backrow, the likes of Mossop and Farrell will still play.

Feka isn't even playing this season so a straight swap for Lima gives us an extra class prop.

If we sign Finch as a replecement for Deacon, again massive improvement from Deacons current form.

Throw Slater into the mix and we will go unbeaten next season

He comes off the bench though. I was thinking more of a starting prop to compliment Fielden/Coley.

Same as what most people had said really, i'm made up but i'm not sure why we need hoffman, we've got secondrowers to spare and bloody good ones at that.

There have been rumours over the past few weeks but this has seriously exploded over the last 24 hrs really

Steve Matai to Saints rumour tucked away at the bottom - good player but an absolute tool.

Thats it spoil our fun...



But its not linking him to Saints just to England.

So basically we have numerous websites reporting that we have signed 1 or 2 of Hoffman, Finch and Lima.

Personally I hope we get all 3.

I refuse to assume untill it's on the Wigan website.
