All RFL sanctioned games (Including Riversiders games it would seem) go straight to Golden point if there is a tie on 80 minutes in any knockout games from now on apparently.

| A little early for this i know but i just wanted to know what sort of team people think we will put out with such a big game just on the horizon?
I'm quite looking forward to the Barrow game cause we may see a few good youngsters in there like Farrel, Mossop & Vievers.
Lets face it we will have a very strong team out anyway that day with the likes of Smith, Pryce, Goulding, Phelps, Mathers & Prescott getting some first team action meaning some of our more experienced players like Lockers, Hock, Carmont, Fielden & Tommy can have a good week off. It's not very often you get a chance to rest senior players mid season so we should jump at the chance.
1-Mathers
2-Phelps
3-Goulding
4-Pryce
5-Ainscough/Roberts
6-S.Tomkins
7-Smith
8-Coley
9-Mcilorum
10-Prescott
11-Mossop
12-Hansen
13-Tomkins (C) (why not i think he'll be it in the future anyway)
-O'Carrol
-Farrell
-Riddell just in case it starts to go bad which it prob wont
-Vievers (put Vievers to 1 and Mathers in at 6 at half time as it's only Barrow giving Tomkins a rest and Vievers his Debut.
That team should easily beat Barrow.

| to the priestman85, thats a bit arrogant isnt it, only Barrow, thats the sort of comment that could come back and bite you on the ar$e!! If Wigan have any respect for Barrow they will send a full strength 17. Get the funny feeling that certain Wigan fans automatically think you are going to batter us whatever team you send up. We can put a pretty strong 17 out ourselves, best we've had for years, bring it on!!

| Can't wait for this game. It's a place i've never been and i've always thought of Cumbria as a real passionate place for rugby league. I'm sure it'll be a great atmospehere and they'll offer up a tough game for at the very least a good 30mins.

What would you do then?
The game is played four days before we play Saints on the Thursday and Cats on the Sunday so why not rest a few key players. No offence to Raidersrus but it's still a very strong line up compared to the ones in the NL1 Smith, Mathers, Pryce, Prescott, Coley, Mcilorum, Goulding, Tomkins x2, Hansen, Farrell and Mossop would all walk into all NL1 sides. As arrogant as it sounds it’s true.
Why risk the likes of Feka, Hock, Carmont, Richards, Bailey & Fielden with two massive games coming you when we have players such as Vievers, Mossop, Farrell who will be eager not only to impress but to have a crack in the first team. We have a strong squad so we might as well use it.

| I'd certainly rotate in the three quarters because we gave good depth in those positions. But not sure about wholesale changes. Depends what form we are in going into the game in the next 3 weeks.

If Barrow have their strongest side out and we rest 8 players it'll still take one of our worst ever preformences to lose the game.
That isn't arrogant but a fact. The difference between superleague and the national leagues is huge. When a superleague team can bring young talent in of the ability of Ainscough and Tomkins it shows how big the gap is because even with plenty of players rested we should still win the game comfortably.
Don't want to offend anybody from Barrow or any national league fan but thats just an honest opinion.

Never a truer word said. It’s not like we will be putting a whole host of reserves out either much of the squad that day will have plenty of SL experience.
Like i said this would be the right time to use the players on the fringe of the squad as we have three games in 7 days. If this isn't a perfect example of when to use the whole of your squad then what is?
Farrell, Mossop & Vievers deserve their chance imo and the likes of Smith, Phelps and Mathers might as well get used or else their salaries are in effect dead money. Pryce and Goulding will also both need game time against a better quality of opposition than they are getting in the 21's.

| Your right there is a massive difference between Super League and the National Leagues but in games like these the lower league teams quite often raise their games to another level and really try to cause an upset, has happened in the past and will no doubt happen again. I'm pretty sure the Barrow players would rather play your full strength 17 than a mixture of first teamers and fringe players. Looking forward to it whatever, will be a good day, and i think Barrow may surprise you with their standard or play. COME ON BARROW!!

I can't see how it will be possible given the fact we're only likely to get a maximum of 2,000 tickets.

| I don't think Nobby will be stupid enough to rest too many players. He has advised Des (our chairman) on a number of our signings and will know all too well what lies in store at Craven Park.
I think it's a little bit disrespectful presuming you will win easily when you know very little, if anything, about our players. There may well be 4 Super League players added to our team prior to the match as well.
You probably won't agree, but believe me, if you put 'the kids' in YOU WILL LOSE.

There will always be cup upsets but we have every right to be confident such is the gulf between NL1 and SL. At the end of the day we should have the players to beat your team easily and it's not being disrespectful or arrogant it's just we do have better players than you/
No one will be taking this game for granted that being said but 3 games in 7 days means we will have 2 give some players a rest. Like i've said we could very easily play good SL players like Mathers, Smith, Pryce, Goulding, Phelps, Prescott,Coley, Tomkins x2 and Hansen who will all be better than the standards your guys are used to playing week in week out.

Wigan would never be daft enough to put out a team totally made up of kids but they may rest 5 r 6 players for the game.
Even if we do rest that many the players coming in will have plenty of superleague experience between them and won't effect the side too much.
The likes of Mathers, Phelps, Goudling, K Pryce, Smith and Prescott are all out of the 17 at the moment and would be well up for a chance of a game in the cup against Barrow.

No one is suggesting "Putting the kids out" we have players like Richard Mathers, Cameron Phelps, Karl Pryce, Darrell Goulding and Paul Prescott who have all played regular first team but are currently not in the side. I'd definetly bring them in because it won't weaken us too much. Wouldn't mess with the pack though.

Normally £13. You can't blame the club for cashing in a bit - it's our biggest game since we entertained the great Widnes team of 1989.
There'll be much bigger overheads as extra staff will have to be taken on as well as a police presence of some description that isn't normally required.
Plus, the club will have a hefty win bonus to pay out to its' players

The ticket deal is a RFL initiative. Every club (either in Round 3 or Round 4) will get the same free offer. Not sure who covers the shortfall - if at all. Just unlucky that we got Barrow. Could be worse the Bradford fans have little chance of taking the offer having drawn Catalans away. They go to France weekend after next then again two weeks later. Still I think Catalans v Bradford is going to be the BBC's other game.
